Britain's 主要な 体操教師(選手) Beth Tweddle has 認める she will almost certainly 屈服する out of the sport after the 2009 World 選手権s in London.
Tweddle, who (人命などを)奪う,主張するd Britain's first ever gold メダル in October's World 選手権s in Denmark, saw her 業績/成就 recognised by 存在 投票(する)d in third place in the BBC Sports Personality of The Year awards.
It capped off a successful 2006 for Tweddle who in April had also become the first British 体操教師(選手) to strike gold at the European 選手権s.
But the 21-year-old from Cheshire will only compete at the 最高の,を越す level for a 最大限 of another three years.
Tweddle said: "The only other thing that would be equal to this year would be an Olympic gold - or some sort of Olympic メダル in 2008. If I continue to develop and things go 井戸/弁護士席, then hopefully that can happen.
"But two years is a long time for a 体操教師(選手). I am just taking every step as it comes. If I stay 傷害-解放する/自由な and still love the sport, hopefully I'll be there in 2008.
"We've got the Olympics in 2008 and the World 選手権s in London in 2009. If I go to 2008 and I am still happy, then to compete at home the に引き続いて year would be a 広大な/多数の/重要な place to retire.
"After the Olympics I would probably 削減(する) my training 負かす/撃墜する. I could specialise in 確かな disciplines, such as 妨げる/法廷,弁護士業s or 床に打ち倒す for the World 選手権s, so I wouldn't have to train as vigorously."
That Tweddle has 達成するd so much is a testament to her resilience after 傷害 problems and she 熟視する/熟考するd quitting after 存在 支配するd out of this year's 連邦/共和国 Games with a serious ankle 傷害.
And she has taken inspiration from the likes of Paula Radcliffe and Sally Gunnell who 戦う/戦いd 支援する from 非常に長い lay-offs to 達成する 運動競技のs glory.
She said: "I remember watching the 1992 Olympics with Sally Gunnell, Colin Jackson and Linford Christie and more recently Kelly Holmes and Paul Radcliffe.
"I've seen the 傷害s those sort of 最高の,を越す pe ople have gone through and how they have 対処するd, (機の)カム 支援する and were successful.
"I've had a lot of 傷害s myself but just knowing that they've managed to fight 支援する has been inspirational. It left me thinking 'if they can do it, so can I.'
"Did I ever think of quitting? There have been a few times. The 連邦/共和国 games was the hardest 傷害 I've come 支援する from just because it was so painful.
"I knew I could have done 井戸/弁護士席 and I was ready to pack it all in. But by the next morning those thoughts had gone, I had got my 長,率いる sorted out and I supported the team."
