EXCLUSIVE: Wolverhampton Wanderers superfan Henry Searle chose a career in tennis over football and he is already 得るing the rewards of his 決定／判定勝ち（する） after becoming Wimbledon boy's （テニスなどの）シングルス 支持する／優勝者

Ask anyone about Henry Searle, the first British 勝利者 of the Wimbledon boy’s （テニスなどの）シングルス 肩書を与える for 61 years, and it never takes long for the words Wolverhampton Wanderers to come up.

The club’s 経営者／支配人 Julen Lopetegui sent a ビデオ of support to the 17-year-old before the final and afterwards the club tweeted their congratulations ‘from all the pack’.

And it transpires that the club played a 役割 in his story from the moment a football mad, Wolves mad kid 選ぶd up a ゆすり.

‘He started with one of our coaches Amber Fellows, who is here now doing こどもs tennis,’ Marc Hughes, who has watched Searle play since he was two and a half years old told Mail Sport, speaking from the Wolverhampton Lawn Tennis and Squash Club which he manages.

‘She recognised the talent in Henry. He was very 連係させた but he wasn’t sure whether he was going to do football or tennis. Amber, in 新規加入 to 存在 a very good tennis player and coach, was also captain of the Wolves ladies team. So she said let’s do half of the 開会／開廷／会期 football and half of the 開会／開廷／会期 tennis!

‘That was a 重要な moment in Henry’s 開発. As time 進歩d he decided he would like to do tennis more than football and he began his 旅行 at the club.

‘What you saw in the final was a culmination of all the things the coaches and the people here have instilled in our juniors: work hard for every point, don’t give up.’

Searle’s is not one of those stories of a child trained from birth by tennis-mad parents and sent travelling the world 支援するd by the family coffers.

His mother Emma is a social 労働者, the family had little history of tennis and are not 特に 井戸／弁護士席 off ? his subscription 料金s have been covered by the club for a number of years, as is their 政策 with 約束ing juniors. His family moved house to be closer to the club. They have ‘had to sacrifice a lot’ says Hughes.

At the age of 12 Searle moved on his own to the Cote d’Azur to live and train at the prestigious 学院 of Patrick Mouratoglou, the former coach of Serena Williams. But he became disillusioned. ‘It wasn’t as good as it was 趣旨d to be,’ said Hughes. ‘Henry didn’t have the same coac h throughout his 旅行, a lot of attention was focussed on some of the other players and not him. And he was a long way from home.’

Searle returned to Wolverhampton after nine months. He now trains at Loughborough’s 国家の 学院, and the LTA deserve their fair 株 of credit for his 開発, but above all this is a 勝利 for the 地元の tennis club.

Passion for his sport, his club and his city reverberates through Hughes’ 発言する／表明する as he says: ‘This is Henry’s second home. The club here values its juniors and I’m afraid that’s not the 事例／患者 at every club.

‘We’re very proud of 多様制 at the club. Wolverhampton is a 堅い city at the moment, there’s not a lot of new 商売／仕事 coming in, so as a not-for 利益（をあげる） club it is really important for us to get everybody playing and enjoying their time together.

‘Henry has been a 広大な／多数の／重要な 役割 model for the juniors. A 地元の boy, a 地元の lad, people think a lot of him here.’

That was raucously evident on Sunday when a ギャング（団） of Wolverhampton club members roared Searle to his straight-始める，決めるs victory from the No1 法廷，裁判所 stands wearing ‘Henry’s Barmy Army’ t-shirts.

And 支援する at the club the 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 was packed. ‘We had 80 or 90 people watching,’ said Hughes. ‘Ten years ago we did a 類似の thing for the final and there were more people here on Sunday than were here to watch Andy Murray 勝利，勝つ Wimbledon.

‘A lot of people 縮む when there is 圧力 on, Henry just grows. Any time there was 圧力 he 配達するd. That’s who he is.

‘We’ve got a lot to thank his family for because they are the ones who have 形態／調整d that 味方する of his 開発. A 広大な／多数の／重要な young man. We’re all immensely proud of him.’

Lloyd, who commentated on Searle’s ４半期/4分の1, 半分 and final for the BBC, told Mail Sport: ‘He impressed me more with each match. When you’re looking at juniors making the 移行 you look at many things. 態度 is 抱擁する and from what I’ve heard he’s very 動機づけるd.

‘But what was most impressive is how he dealt with big points. Serving for the match yesterday, he’s serving for a Wimbledon 肩書を与える, the （人が）群がる’s going crazy, he made it look 平易な in the biggest game of his life.

‘Unless there’s 傷害s I can categorically say he will make it on to the プロの／賛成の 小旅行する. The numbers from there? If he continues his 開発 I think 最高の，を越す 50 without question.’

One danger, as ever, is of rising 期待s and the very British 傾向 to hype up our young 競技者s.

‘He can 扱う it,’ said Lloyd. ‘I don’t think he’s the 肉親，親類d of bloke whose 長，率いる is going to be turned. He knows this is just the beginning of the 旅行.’
