'The 城 Hotel sir? Shouldn't have any problems there, one of the finest hotels in the area,' says the taxi driver as we pull away from Taunton train 駅／配置する.

The Phil Vickery in question was the celebrity chef who's married to TV presenter Fern Br itton and was 解雇（する）d by The 城 for not 支払う／賃金ing enough attention to his マリファナs and pans.

He took the hotel to an 産業の 法廷 for 不公平な 解雇／（訴訟の）却下 and won. Earlier this year, The 城 enjoyed more welcome attention when it featured in a BBC 文書の called Keeping It In The Family.

For 60 years, it's been in the Chapman family, but there are 関心s about how this can be 支えるd now that the 現在の owners' two sons have successful careers in their own 権利.

This is a Grade I-名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）d Norman 城, renovated in the 18th century. A Union 旗 sits proudly on the roof and its 前線 is covered in wisteria.

The 内部の is tasteful but not extravagant. There are antique （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs, tapestries, clocks and a 抱擁する red-carpeted 石／投石する staircase. It has presence.

My room doesn't 正確に／まさに 始める，決める the pulse racing, but it's clean and practical. The main 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業, The 城 屈服する, has low lighting, suede 議長，司会を務めるs and a large picture of Audrey Hepburn.

It serves West Country ale, Somerset cream teas (£8.50, from 3pm-5pm) and swanky cocktails.

There are two choices for dinner: a 罰金-dining restaurant that once had a Michelin 星／主役にする and Brazz, a いっそう少なく formal bistro.

My dinner, bed and breakfast 率 (£115) only gets me a seat in Brazz, where, at one end, men neck pints and discuss Freddie Flintoff's 退職 from 実験（する） cricket, and at the other young couples 持つ／拘留する 手渡すs under fairy lights.

On the menu it says 'our 職業 is to show you a good time', but after 20 minutes I still 港／避難所't placed my order. Never mind.

Entertainment comes 儀礼 of a group of women with 'I'm on a 女／おっせかい屋 night' balloons 大（公）使館員d to their 長，率いるs.

Really, I should have paid the extra £20 and 昇格d to the fancy restaurant. But I'm 許すd into it for breakfast where white tablecloths, sil ver-plated cutlery and large 厚かましさ／高級将校連 chandeliers 連合させる to 奮起させる flawless service.

My 緊急発進するd eggs are perfect but the woman sitting an the next （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する isn't so happy with her crispy bacon.

The 城 is ideal for guests of a 確かな age who are used to high 基準s. It doesn't strike me as 特に child-friendly but, I notice, '井戸／弁護士席-behaved' dogs are 許すd ― although 井戸／弁護士席-behaved here most likely translates as impeccable どこかよそで.
