If you 港／避難所't got 一連の会議、交渉／完成する to sorting out your family holiday for this summer, there's no need to fret. Though most schools are breaking up すぐに, and some 私的な schools have already done so, it's not too late to arrange a 逃亡.

Far from it, in fact. さまざまな factors have put a dampener on bookings for summer foreign breaks this year.

That much of Europe is seen as expensive at the moment because of the poor 続けざまに猛撃する-to-euro 交流 率 has also 証明するd a deterrent to many bookers. As have strikes by British 航空路s and the pretty good 天候 we've had at home so far this summer.

Here are some suggestions of where to find good availability and 取引，協定s.?

Greek idyll: 郊外住宅 Raches on Skopelos

Greece

Greece's 観光旅行，事業 産業 is really struggling this year. 暴動s in Athens and recurring general strikes across the country - one last week 影響する／感情d some flights and フェリー（で運ぶ） services - are making many 可能性のある holidaymakers look どこかよそで.

With bookings 負かす／撃墜する ten per cent on last year, the Greek 政府 has taken the 前例のない step of 約束ing to cover extra costs 立ち往生させるd holidaymakers may 背負い込む 予定 to 産業の 活動／戦闘.

It （機の）カム 支援する with £1,640 halfboard at a run-of-the-mill three 星／主役にする hotel on Rhodes for a family of four for a week in late July (含むing flights), which doesn't 始める，決める my pulse racing. I think it's a 近づく certainty that more enticing 取引，協定s will appear over the next fortnight. That said, I was tempted by a 30 per cent 割引 on the lovely-sounding two-bedroom 郊外住宅 Raches on Skopelos 申し込む／申し出d by Ionian Island Holidays (020 8459 0777, www.ionianislandholidaysco.uk) - £2,522 for a family of four for a week in late July, 含むing flights, car 雇う and 移転s.

By the way, 雇うing a 郊外住宅 may be the way to go this summer. Word on the ground is that eating out in Greece is around 20 to 25 per cent cheaper than last summer, thanks to tavernas realising the need to bring prices 負かす／撃墜する, along with a slight 改良 in the 交流 率.

Northern フラン

You can get the car, the whole family and all your luggage to フラン and 支援する on a フェリー（で運ぶ） across the 海峡s of Dover for under £100 this summer - いっそう少なく than the cost of 簡単に checking in two 20kg 捕らえる、獲得するs with Ryanair. See www.sailanddrive.com for 選択s.

Fares are pricier on longer crossings, though Brittany フェリー（で運ぶ）s (0871 244 0744, www.brittany-フェリー（で運ぶ）s. co.uk) is running a seven-day saver fare 取引，協定 for midweek travel, going out by July 22 and returning by July 29, which 作品 out at £278 return for a car and family of four.

Try （軍の）野営地，陣営ing: Brittany is awash with 控訴，上告ing ca mpsites (and beaches). If you want to go 一括d, 耐える in mind that 率s 減少（する） off はっきりと に向かって the end of August. I'm looking at a 引用する from Canvas Holidays (0845 268 0853, www.canvasholidays.co.uk) for a three-bedroom 動きやすい home in a beachside campsite in southern Brittany for £990 for a week from August 25, 含むing Dover-Calais midweek フェリー（で運ぶ） crossings - £447 cheaper than for a week starting in late July.

選ぶ for a pre-築くd テント instead and the price for the late August week 減少（する）s to £676 (and staying under canvas is so much more fun).

Under the 星／主役にするs: 長，率いる for a beachside campsite in Brittany

Majorca

Last year was 悲惨な for Spanish 観光旅行，事業, with the number of British 訪問者s 落ちるing by around 15 per cent. This year, to 中和する／阻止する the off-putting 続けざまに猛撃する-to-euro 率, 小旅行する 操作者s, hoteliers and 郊外住宅 owners have all been trimming prices - yet in prime 目的地s there are an awful lot of holidays still left unsold this summer.

Majorca is looking like the number one bet for 取引s. For a family of four self-catering in the Flora Aparthotel in civilised Puerto Pollensa, First Choice (0871 200 4455, www.firstchoice.co.uk) 引用するd me £1,667, 含むing flights from Manchester - which it says is a £450 割引.

Hoseasons 郊外住宅s (0844 847 1170, www.hoseasons.co.uk) also 選ぶs out Majorca as having the best availability of its Spanish 目的地s over the summer holidays. I'm looking on Hoseasons' website and seeing as many as 40 郊外住宅s waiting to be 調書をとる／予約するd during August on some dates.

One of them is Jaume, a two-bedroom 郊外住宅 with 私的な pool - for a week in 早期に August, £1,488 (賃貸しの only), a £263 割引. This is for a stay beginning on a Wednesday: with many of Hoseasons' 所有物／資産／財産s, you can start your 調書をとる／予約するing any day, and thus 利益 from 存在 able to 調書をとる／予約する cheaper midweek flights.

The アルプス山脈

You don't need a beach for a 広大な／多数の／重要な family holiday. The Mawer family has had a fantastic time 調査するing the アルプス山脈 in summer with Esprit Holidays (01252 618 300, www.espritfamilyadventures.com). The company lays on really fun childcare, so you can go off 犯罪-解放する／自由な for such adventures as trekking in the mountains or paragliding.

Esprit has some excellent 取引，協定s this summer: for example, for a family of four fully catered in the chalet Hotel des Deux Domaines in Belle Plagne, 支払う／賃金 £899 for a week from July 24, 45 per cent off the brochure price. Travel is extra, as is daytime childcare (£115 to £135 per child 老年の three to 11), but evening 監督 is 含むd.

The Caribbean

Summer is low season in the Caribbean as it's the 雨の season. Though it's still hot and sunny, short downpours are typical in late afternoon or 早期に evening (and there is an outside chance of a major 熱帯の 嵐／襲撃する). As a result, hotel prices are as little as half of the 頂点（に達する） winter months. The problem is that 航空機によるs such as BA or Virgin 引き上げ（る） up fares in July and August, so looking at the total cost, 取引s are not a certainty.

Relax in style: 調査する the Caribbean's all-inclusive hotels

The secret is to 飛行機で行く 借り切る／憲章, as 小旅行する 操作者s 削減（する） 率s to fill seats on their 計画（する）s の近くに to 出発 (and long-運ぶ／漁獲高 economy on a 借り切る／憲章 can be as comfy as on a scheduled flight). Most flights from the UK to the Dominican 共和国 are 借り切る／憲章, and there the Punta Cana 訴える手段／行楽地 申し込む／申し出s some of the Caribbean's best value and best 質 all-inclusive hotels. I 高度に recommend Dreams Palm Beach: stylish, with excellent food and childcare, and 権利 on a superlative tranche of beach.
