Joy Howe, 78, from Malvern in Worcestershire, says her daughter led her to her first holiday at sea に引き続いて the death of her husband, Michael, when she was just 49 - and she hasn't looked 支援する since.?

She explains: ‘My husband Michael was a serving 王室の 海軍 officer when he died 老年の 51. I was only 49 and threw myself into service charities, the War 未亡人s’ 協会, and pastoral work with the terminally ill.

‘That was until my daughter Anna 示唆するd a holiday ? and she 脅すd to 調書をとる／予約する one if I didn’t. I saw an advert for over-50s 巡航するs with Saga so I b ooked to sail to the Caribbean.
‘I was nervous, but when I arrived at Southampton and stepped on board the 乗組員 made me feel so welcome. I needn’t have 恐れるd a thing.
‘Halfway through the voyage I 調書をとる／予約するd another 巡航する, staying on to sail in the Mediterranean. Since then, I have only sailed with Saga. They are my family at sea.’

She says: ‘To me, the 大西洋 crossing, 存在 権利 out on the ocean, is really 巡航するing. Luckily, I have excellent sea 脚s.
‘I’ve now travelled the world, 含むing a world 巡航する in 2012. However, it is the Caribbean that 持つ／拘留するs a special place in my heart, 特に St. Lucia.’
