巡航する prices 宙返り/暴落する
Last updated at 12:34 11 September 2003
Once 巡航する liners were the 保存する of the 井戸/弁護士席-heeled few, the ultimate in exotic travel for the 豊富な and retired.
However, the build-up to the Iraq war is credited with 軍隊ing 巡航する companies to 申し込む/申し出 抱擁する 割引s to tourists afraid of travelling, as is growing 競争.
Between 2000 and 2005 there will be 50 more liners 申し込む/申し出ing space for 3,000 乗客s a week.
The 普通の/平均(する) cost of seven nights on a 最高の,を越す-level liner, travelling on a Mediterranean 大勝する such as Barcelona to Nice, has been 削除するd in the last six months from £3,995 per person to £1,760. 会社/堅いs such as Silversea are marketing 'up to 55 per cent 貯金' on 巡航するs to 目的地s across the world, while the larger five-星/主役にする liner company 水晶 is 申し込む/申し出ing more than 60 per cent 割引 on trips to the パナマ Canal.
But it seems 巡航する ship holidays have been 攻撃する,衝突する by the 一括 取引,協定 影響 - with 退役軍人 ocean-goers complaining that 削減(する)-price 申し込む/申し出s are 'bringing 負かす/撃墜する the トン'.
For some, Carry On 巡航するing has become reality. With fares for even the most 排除的 and intimate sixstar liners 存在 削除するd by as much as 55 per cent, 伝統的な 巡洋艦s 恐れる a new 産む/飼育する of seafarer is ハイジャック the 伝統的な stroll along the sun deck followed by dinner at the captain's (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する.
Travel スパイ/執行官s say many of their long-standing (弁護士の)依頼人s are 登録(する)ing 'extreme 関心' at what they believe is the downgrading of their fellow travellers on trips to the Far East, South America and Hawaii.
Ray Merry, of 主要な 巡航する スパイ/執行官s Of The UK, said: 'Some of our (弁護士の)依頼人s have complained about a new 産む/飼育する of people coming onboard. They say things like, 'Of course, they are different to us.' They think it's a 事例/患者 of dumbing 負かす/撃墜する.' While fares for 基準 liners have been dropping for years, it is the cutprice 取引,協定s 存在 申し込む/申し出d this year by the 最高の,を越す-end 巡航する companies that is 原因(となる)ing loyal 乗客s 関心.
Mr Merry said: 'The days are 井戸/弁護士席 and truly over when 巡航するing was something only a very rich few could afford.'
He 主張するd that にもかかわらず low costs tempting more holidaymakers to a trip on the ocean, there is little danger of liners becoming debauched Faliraki-style love boats.
'I've never seen any yobbish behaviour,' he 追加するd. '基準s aren't slipping that low. In the dining room if someone tried to get in with flip-flops and Bermuda shorts they would be asked to go どこかよそで or change.
And the master or 医療の officer on board has the 権利 to put someone off-ship for bad behaviour.'
Willie Stewart, of Prestwich-based Stewart Travel, 確認するd that many 乗客s had 登録(する)d their displeasure at the new 世代 of cruisegoers.
'As prices are 減ずるd some 基準s can go,' he said. 'It's something that's happening pretty much across the board. 巡航するing is not what it was 20 years ago.'
