No シャンペン酒... but there are 解放する／自由な cookies: Inside Eurostar's £245 first-class '商売／仕事 首相' carriage in the coronavirus 時代

Croissants, yoghurts, 十分な English breakfasts, gooseberry compotes with cr?me fraiche, シャンペン酒, beef cheek in red ワイン, cod roulade… the menu for first-class Eurostar 乗客s ? overseen by superchef Raymond Blanc - is amazing.

Like the 残り／休憩（する） of the travel 産業, Eurostar has had to adapt its 操作／手術 to make it Covid-安全な・保証する and a 削減 in onboard services is one of many 対策 introduced as a result.

全体にわたる, my experience on the new pandemic-friendly Eurostar was very pleasant ? save for the 不快 of wearing a 直面する mask for hours on end.

They’re 義務的な onboard.

At first ちらりと見ること, when I arrived at St Pancras International 駅／配置する for the 12.24 to Paris, all seemed perfectly normal.

Then I noticed that some of the 出口s in the 普通は bustling shopping arcade section were shut ? along with the 献身的な 商売／仕事 首相 安全 小道／航路.

After one of my group kindly bought me a coffee from the thankfully open Paul パン屋, we decided to begin the 旅行 through 安全 and 国境 支配（する）／統制する.

Thing is, my coffee was gigantic, the clock was ticking and it was too hot to gulp 負かす／撃墜する, so I decided to check-in with it.

A 可能性のある hiccup ? but Eurostar had me covered, as I’ll explain.

EUROSTAR’S COVID-SECURE SERVICE?

• There is a 改訂するd seat 地図／計画する in place, keeping a 安全な distance between all travellers.
• 直面する masks are compulsory, に引き続いて 指導／手引 from? 政府s across all 大勝するs.
• 増加するd きれいにする 資源s, 付加 きれいにする teams onboard, with high-frequency touch areas such as （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs and 扱うs 殺菌するd throughout the 旅行.
• Onboard food service is の近くにd, but travellers can bring their own refreshments and there are no liquid 制限s through 安全.
• Eurostar is working to 再開する 商売／仕事 lounges as soon as possible. 商売／仕事 travellers (and carte blanche 支えるもの／所有者s) will be able to enjoy all of these once again from August 3.
• All tickets are now 柔軟な so that travellers can change their dates without an 交流 料金 on all bookings made up to the end of the year
• Eurostar is 現在／一般に running eight Paris services a day, four to Brussels and one to Amsterdam. 需要・要求する is 存在 監視するd and will be adjusted in 返答.

宣伝

Ticketless 入ること／参加（者） is encouraged, so through the 障壁s I went using a barcode from my ticket email.

After this, there was a pause before I was directed to a 完全に empty X-ray machine conveyor belt, which felt rather '商売／仕事 首相'.

The 安全 staff, perhaps because of thin 乗客 numbers, were 十分な of bonhomie.

My vertiginous coffee was spotted straight away by a 安全 officer, who produced a little tray lined with 泡，激怒すること cup 支えるもの／所有者s so that it could pass through the X-ray system.

井戸／弁護士席, I never. How civilised.

パスポート 支配（する）／統制する was 交渉するd 速く, with 乗客s dutifully spacing themselves out and masks 存在 除去するd only 簡潔に for 国境 支配（する）／統制する officers.

The 商売／仕事 首相 lounge, which is very 冷静な／正味の and swanky, was shut, so we plundered Pret for lunch fodder and sponged in the ‘new normal’ Eurostar main-waiting-area-vibe, which was serene.

This area can be 大混乱／混沌とした - jostle-central.

But social distancing was in 十分な 影響 ? stickers on the seats 勧めるd 乗客s to ‘please leave a space’ ? and everyone seemed very relaxed.

So far, so splendid.

And it was 類似して tranquil on the train.

There was no 商売／仕事 首相 greeter at the door, but acres of space for us to spread out in.

Eight big reclining seats - with 力／強力にする sockets that take both UK and 大陸の plugs - for three people.

Ok, so that’s partly because we were in 商売／仕事 首相, but Eurostar has changed its seat 地図／計画する to 確実にする 乗客s in every class are spaced out.

The only (必然的な) 失望 of the trip was the 本気で pared-負かす／撃墜する service.

Eurostar isn’t taking any chances and to keep staff/顧客 interactions to a 最小限, it 量s in 商売／仕事 首相 to 存在 申し込む／申し出d a cookie and 瓶／封じ込める of water on the way out, and on the way 支援する ? just a 瓶／封じ込める of water.

The 駅／配置する experience on the return 旅行 from Gare du Nord was 類似の to the one in London ? no 商売／仕事 首相 ticket 小道／航路s, no lounge (until August 3), but lots of seating 利用できる and plenty of room to manoeuvre.

The major 失望／欲求不満 ? both ways - was 長引かせるd mask-wearing. Necessary, but not comfortable.

The 判決 for Eurostar? 英貨の／純銀の 職業. I felt 安全な and 安心させるd every step of the way.

And for 商売／仕事 首相? 井戸／弁護士席, it’s a flat £245 fare each way and that will seem pretty 法外な for many for a no-frills service.

But on the 加える 味方する ? you’ve got the 高級な of enough space to swing a cat. And a 瓶／封じ込める of water.
