Recharge at Kanis & Meiland, a lovely 妨げる/法廷,弁護士業/cafe, watching the quayside activity and gazing over to the 本土/大陸 at Borneo, while you decide if you love or loathe The 鯨, the V-形態/調整d edifice that 支配するs the 居住の 封鎖するs. For all the design, perhaps the most striking 面 of Java/KNSM is something simple - its sense of space compared-with the old town: open sky, long 見解(をとる)s and a constant 微風 off the IJ a breath of fresh 空気/公表する in every sense.

There's also a refreshing dash of the old まっただ中に all the new. The island's quaysides are lined with gnarled boats, some turned into restaurants, others - like the Azartplein's 'Ship of Fools' - home to left-field cabaret.

Modern buildings, 一方/合間, mix with the 若返らせるd old: the dark, low-天井d 地階 club AMP, renowned for its 戦う/戦い of the 禁止(する)d nights, and a cranked-up, dressed-負かす/撃墜する 冷静な/正味の, grungy vibe, or the 1950s harbourmaster building halfway along KNSM-laan that houses a little museum of the harbour area's history 同様に as a beautiful period ballroom.

While the pulse of regeneration (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域s most 堅固に on Java/KNSM, two of the docklands' most impressive places 嘘(をつく) across the water, along the 本土/大陸 quayside, both in wonderfully convertedold buildings.

Carved out of a pumping 駅/配置する, パナマ is the docklands' 楽しみ palace, its さまざまな spaces home to Amsterdam's only シャンペン酒 妨げる/法廷,弁護士業, a 高度に 率d brasserie, a cabaret theatre and a dance space hosting some of the city's hippest club nights, while in summer, the 活動/戦闘 流出/こぼすs out の上に the quayside.

A little その上の に向かって the old town, 一方/合間, opposite Java's western tip, is Pakhuis. Spread over three 広大な 床に打ち倒すs of this former 倉庫/問屋, Pakhuis is Amsterdam's 首相 内部の-design showcase, while its cafe has perhaps the best 見解(をとる) in the city.

Sitting high above the IJ, overlooking the 新たな展開ing metallic (期間が)わたる of the Jan Schaefer 橋(渡しをする) (aka Lizard B 山の尾根) linking Java to the 本土/大陸, the 急ぐ comes not just from the caffeine but from the feeling you're the master of some new Amsterdam universe.
