Off to the cinema tonight? Will you be trudging 負かす／撃墜する to your 地元の 20-審査する film factory, staffed 排他的に by pimply 青年s trying to earn enough money to buy a new skateboard, whose knowledge of film begins and ends with Scary Movie?

Will you sit 負かす／撃墜する clutching your cardboard nachos and 産業の cheese sauce and your bucket of 地位，任命する-mixed, homogenised, caffeinated （水以外の）飲料, in an auditorium which, for all its distinguishing features, could be in 絶対 any chain cinema in the UK?

It doesn't have to be this way you know. You don't have to give in to the march of the multiplex.

If your cinematic tastes run to something a little more challenging than the 最新の blockbuster from the Hollywood 議会 line then why not give your 地元の indie a try?

There are 地域の独立した・無所属 cinemas across the UK. Many fans feel they 申し込む／申し出 a far more 利益／興味ing and quirky film-going experience.

Going to an 独立した・無所属 as …に反対するd to a multiplex is akin to patronising a quirky French bistro instead of the neighbourhood McDonald's. If you want a 急速な／放蕩な food 直す／買収する，八百長をする, burgers are 罰金. But if you want a culinary event....

独立した・無所属 cinemas show fascinating films which you won't find in your 地元の chain and most have excellent cafes 大（公）使館員d. You don't have to be an 専門家 on German expressionist cinema to enjoy a cup of real coffee and a piece of chocolate fudge cake as you settle 負かす／撃墜する to watch your film.

Indies 持つ／拘留する special festivals, 主題d seasons, 会談 and 教育の programmes. The staff know what they are talking about. You could run into a film 星／主役にする or a director. And, they are usually m uch cheaper than the multiplex.

Affectionately known as the GFT, this art deco theatre is housed in a 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）d building. It 誇るs an elegant cafe 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 and seats sponsored by 星／主役にするs. It shows foreign and American 独立した・無所属 films.

This three-審査する cinema sits behind a simple shop 前線. You can take アル中患者 drinks or coffee into the 審査 halls.

Cornerhouse, Manchester. 70 Oxford Street. 0161 200 1500
