Comedie De L' Innocence (Cert PG)

by CHRISTOPHER TOOKEY, Daily Mail

Raul Ruiz's follow-up to his acclaimed but icily detached film about Proust, Time 回復するd, is about a rich, sophisticated Frenchwoman (Isabelle Huppert) who discovers that her nine-year-old son Camille (Nils Hugon) has befriended a beautiful but crazy-looking woman (Jeanne Balibar), who thinks that the boy is her recently dead son.

Not only this, but Camille calls the new woman 'mother'.

What would you do under these circumstances? 井戸/弁護士席, one thing I bet you wouldn't do is let your son sleep in the same bed as the crazy woman, still いっそう少なく 招待する her to come and live with you.

And, if you were like the real mother in having a history of 喘息 attacks when under 強調する/ストレス, you would make sure to get in a 在庫/株 of inhalers.

The 緊張-packed 始める,決める-up is for a horror film that never やめる happens. The crazy woman turns out not to be a bunny boiler, like Glenn の近くに in 致命的な Attraction.

The movie might have been more enjoyable if she had. It's all very inconsequential, and the 恐らく 強調する/ストレスd Isabelle Huppert floats through it as though listening to a symphony on invisible headphones.

It's a 業績/成果 as bafflingly dead as her ヘロイン in The Piano Teacher was agonisingly alive. But no one in this film 反応するs as any 本物の human might. It is as if everyone has been anaesthetised.

Small wonder, then, that we feel 絶対 nothing for them.
