This lamentable 都市の fairy-tale 押すs the undernourished Ryan up against a 訪問者 from another time ーするために 調査する the cultural and behavioural differences between the civilised age of the 19th century and the modern brutalism of the 21st.

Thanks to Kate's almost ex-boyfriend (Liev Schreiber), Leopold (Hugh Jackman), the third Duke of Albany, is 輸送（する）d into 同時代の New York where he 申し込む／申し出s a civilised romantic 代案／選択肢 to the frenetic, 強調する／ストレスd-out 関係 政策 of instant gratification.

自然に, Kate 作品 in advertising, selling stuff to 満たすd 消費者s, while Leopold is a lovelorn idealist who is - in his own time - 存在 押し進めるd into a marriage of 財政上の convenience.

In spite of Jackman's virile presence, this is a sexless 事件／事情／状勢 whose clunky script plods along to a 結論 that is as predictable as it is banal.
