Lennon's glasses picture auctioned

A photograph of Beatle John Lennon's glasses, bloodstained from when he was 発射 dead, was 存在 auctioned today.

The image was taken by the musician's wife Yoko Ono and is one of only six such prints in 存在.

Auctioneers Bonham's say it is 推定する/予想するd to fetch up to £10,000 at the sale in Chelsea, central London, this afternoon.

Lennon was killed outside his New York apartment by obsessed fan 示す Chapman in 1980.

The photo shows the singer's famous 一連の会議、交渉/完成する spectacles next to a glass of water and on a (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する 始める,決める against the window of the couple's apartment overlooking Manhattan.

The image was later used for the 前線 cover of Ono's album Season of Glass.

The print is owned by Johnnie Walker, a 基金-raiser for Artist Residencies of Tokyo (ART), and all proceeds will go to the organisation.

:: Also up for auction today is the 初めの Lord Charles ventriloquist's doll owned and used by Ray Alan. It is 推定する/予想するd to fetch up to £6,500.
