An old school 再会! St Trinian's Gemma Arterton is working with co-星／主役にする Rupert Everett once again in a new Sky series Funny Woman where she plays a beauty queen 捜し出すing TV fame

They first worked together during the filming for St Trinian's.

And now Gemma Arterton and Rupert Everett are joining 軍隊s once again for Sky's new series Funny Woman, where she plays a beauty queen 捜し出すing TV fame.

It really is an old school 再会 for the St Trinian's ギャング（団）, with director Ol Parker, headmistress Rupert and tearaway Gemma linking up 15 years on for the 演劇.

The show, Funny Woman, is a sitcom based on the novel by Nick Hornby. Arterton plays Barbara Parker, a 地域の beauty queen (行方不明になる Blackpool) who moves to London in search of TV fame.?

Everett is almost unrecognisable, in a bald cap and 激しい make-up, as her スパイ／執行官 Brian Debenham.

The comedy has been written by Morwenna Banks, who also brilliantly adapted Mick Herron's Slow Horses for Apple TV+.

Filming has been going on since 2021, when Gemma was spotted looking every インチ the Sixties beauty queen for the Sky 初めの show.

Gemma said: 'It's a 心暖まる story of an ambitious woman with a dream of making people laugh ? it's going to be something special.'

While Gemma, who played?Strawberry Fields in 2008's Quantum of Solace, is certainly excited about playing Barbara, last year she sa id of her 社債 役割 that she would not 選ぶ a 類似の 役割 for herself anymore.?

The actress, from Kent, who had her big break when she was 21 with the 社債 movie starring Daniel Craig, said her character didn't have much to do in the movie.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Gemma, who has started her own 生産／産物 company, 反逆者／反逆する Park, which 目的（とする）s to 伴う／関わる women in all 面s of film making, said: 'I know I wouldn’t choose a 役割 like that now.

'Because she was funny and she was 甘い, but she didn’t really have anything to do ? or a backstory.'
