Peaches Geldof: A talent vacuum

With the sort of childlike self-delusion for which she has become known, Peaches Geldof has been excitedly regaling friends this week with 詳細（に述べる）s of the film part she is confidently 予報するing will make her a 星／主役にする in Hollywood.

As big-審査する 事実上の／代理 debuts go, her 役割 as a 殺人 犠牲者 in a low-予算, slasher film 存在 発射 by two brothers in Liverpool does not, on the 直面する of it, sound like a sure-解雇する／砲火／射撃 box-office 攻撃する，衝突する.

But who knows? There might 井戸／弁護士席 be an audience who would be willing to 支払う／賃金 good money to see the precocious 行方不明になる Geldof 会合，会う her demise on celluloid in a grisly 大虐殺.

Only time will tell, of course, but Peaches is almost beside herself at the prospect of beginning 狙撃 the 独立した・無所属 movie, called Cross Country, in September.

The only downside, she has confided, is the 際立った 欠如（する） of money she is 存在 申し込む／申し出d for her starring 役割 (hardly surprising, perhaps, given that Peaches has never 行為／法令／行動するd before or had any formal training).

But, then, Peaches hardly needs the cash. によれば 詳細（に述べる）d （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） I have received, she has made more than £1million in a little over a year by cashing in assiduously on what her team of 助言者s have christened 'Brand Peaches'.

And the astonishing 人物／姿／数字 has been 達成するd with the 明らかにする 最小限 of 成果／努力. Take, for example, the Mail's revel ation just over a week ago that Peaches has been living 解放する／自由な for the past three months in the 排除的 Mayfair Hotel in Central London.

The 20-year-old Peaches has 交渉するd to be an '外交官／大使' for the five-星／主役にする hotel, whose 管理／経営, in return for the publicity she 生成するs for their 設立, has written off almost £50,000 of 法案s for her use of a £1,000-a-night 控訴, 加える all the food and drink she wants in its 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業s and restaurants.

Not bad, of course, given that the fractured 関係 with her Live 援助（する） 創立者 father （頭が）ひょいと動く Geldof is such that she 辞退するs to live at the family home barely two miles away.

But even this lavish freebie pales into insignificance when 始める，決める against the other lucrative 契約s and perks Peaches has been able to 命令（する） thanks to her somewhat inexplicable fame. As one socialite explains: 'Peaches has made more than £1million in her own 権利. Forget about her dad's money, she has already made a fortune and there's no 調印する that the cash will 乾燥した，日照りの up any time soon.'

Central to the accumulation of this personal fortune has been the cash she has raked in through modelling and personal 外見 料金s.

If Peaches likes the place and is having a good time she will stay longer, but 平等に she might walk out again a few minutes later. The only important thing is that the photographs get in the papers.

Peaches took a party of 21 friends to the trendy eatery, where main courses can start at £40 and the most expensive dessert is £75. At the end of an evening of lavish drinking and eating, Peaches 発表するd that the restaurant had agreed to 帳消しにする the almost £4,000 法案 by way of thanks for the publicity her 出席 in the past had 生成するd.

Then there is the t ens of thousands of 続けざまに猛撃するs of 解放する／自由な 着せる／賦与するs and 構成 which are sent to her every year by companies hoping to get their 製品s associated with her.

An example of the 'Peaches 影響' on the 利益（をあげる）s of the companies she chooses to work with was on 陳列する，発揮する last week when she 開始する，打ち上げるd the new 行方不明になる Ultimo lingerie 範囲 with a personal 外見 at Debenhams in London's Oxford Street.

Thanks to a 全国的な （選挙などの）運動をする, which had already seen 挑発的な 発射s of Peaches in the skimpy underwear all over the 圧力（をかける）, Ultimo 発表するd within hours that the 蓄える／店 had all but sold out of four months' 価値（がある） of 在庫／株.

It is 一般に agreed the Ultimo 取引，協定 has been very successful. But 現実に Peaches has not made a fantastic 量 of money out of it. Michelle Mone, the woman who runs Ultimo, is a canny Scot and does not throw the company's cash around. She won't have paid Peaches more than £15,000.

Peaches, however, has stuck faithfully to her 味方する of the 取引, giving the brand as much 解放する／自由な （危険などに）さらす as possible, and （人命などを）奪う，主張するd this week that Paris Hilton was so taken with the undies, when the couple became instant best friends at the Cannes Film Festival, that the hotel heiress has asked for a box to be sent to her.

Peaches did better out of a 類似の 取引，協定 to model for 競争相手 lingerie 会社／堅い スパイ／執行官 Provocateur. She donned a 黒人／ボイコット see-through negligee and suspenders for the underwear company's Gothic-style 'Season of the Witch' （選挙などの）運動をする last September and received, acc ording to insiders, a 人物／姿／数字 closer to £25,000.

Then there was her earlier 契約 to model for Australian High Street 着せる／賦与するs company Dotti, for which she received £20,000. She also modelled for British label PPQ and created her own line of 着せる／賦与するs for the 会社／堅い which was 解放（する）d last October.

The 共同の PPQ 取引，協定 was 価値（がある） around £40,000 and Peaches has just 調印するd a その上の 契約 with the company. 一方／合間, Italian style kings Dolce & Gabbana are said to be so impressed by her quirky dress sense that they have sounded her out about working with them.

Although her television career has so far been anything but successful, Peaches has, nonetheless, still made some serious money from her 外見s on the small 審査する.

Last year she starred in an MTV reality series, called Disappear Here, which followed her 試みる／企てるs to 開始する，打ち上げる a new magazine. The show was a ratings flop and took a 批判的な mauling, but netted Peaches in the 地域 of £150,000, says a source の近くに to the 取引，協定.

Three minor TV 外見s on ITV パネル盤 game show Celebrity Juice earlier this year, 現在のing the NME Awards 指名／任命s last year, and 前線ing the iTunes Festival have 追加するd £15,000 to her swollen coffers. Then there is the £60,000-a-year 契約 she 交渉するd to 令状 a column for New York-based fashion magazine Ny lon (rather embarrassingly, however, her 令状ing style has been slammed by the magazine's own readers on its website). She also 現在のs programmes for Nylon's online television 駅／配置する.

専門家s 予報する Peaches can also 推定する／予想する to earn だいたい £200,000 a year by giving interviews and 提起する／ポーズをとるing for pictures in a 一連の glossy magazines. She 仲買人d one such five-人物／姿／数字 取引，協定 last week when she 提起する／ポーズをとるd for the Italian 版 of Grazia in a swimming pool in the South of フラン. As part of the 一括, she was put up 解放する／自由な with friends in a 高級な 郊外住宅.

一方／合間, as she partied on a ヨット as the guest of Elton John's partner David Furnish in Cannes and rubbed shoulders with new friends, 含むing singer James Blunt, her bosses at Nylon were 選ぶing up the tab for her expenses.

Then there are the 取引，協定s she has hatched with the paparazzi.

Peaches is known to tip off photographers from one particular 機関 so they can be there to 'snatch' 明らかに off-guard 発射s.

It was a 策略 used to かなりの 影響 in February when she was photographed sunbathing topless on a South American beach. The pictures raised around £50,000 (although when her 57-year-old father discovered she had done the 取引，協定 to be photographed 半分-naked, he 攻撃する，衝突する the roof). Nor is the 広大な 収入 力／強力にする of Peaches a new 現象. Even when she was still at the 私的な Queen's College school in London's Harley Street, she raised eyebrows by （人命などを）奪う，主張するing she earned £250,000-a-year 令状ing columns for a 国家の newspaper and Elle Girl.

操るing her career is Andy Varley, her spiky-haired 経営者／支配人 whose 機関 also looks after 無線で通信する One DJs Fearne Cotton and Jo Whiley. Varley, who is 井戸／弁護士席 liked in the 産業, has skilfully guided his often headstrong （弁護士の）依頼人.

He is said by her friends to have played a 特に 手渡すs-on 役割 in her life when Peaches was caught up in a 一連の 損失ing 主張s about her 麻薬-taking last year, 含むing （人命などを）奪う，主張するs she had taken an overdose when paramedics 急ぐd her to hospital from a King's Cross flat in July.

So just what does Peaches 現実に spend all that money on? While she doesn't own a car or a 所有物／資産／財産 in London, she is not averse to splashing the cash.

I am told that at Christmas Peaches 爆撃するd out more than £25,000 on a baby grand piano for Max Drummey, the American musician she married last August in Las Vegas after a ten-day courtship. When the marriage 崩壊（する）d in February, she 明らかに said he could keep the lavish 現在の.

Peaches also owns the apartment she used to 株 with Drummey in the trendy New York 地区 of Williamsburg. And にもかかわらず her 解放する／自由な stays at The Mayfair Hotel, sources の近くに to her say she is looking for a house in London as an 投資.

An associate said: 'If I am honest, I thought a couple of years ago that Peaches maybe had a six-month shelf life when it comes to doing these type of 取引，協定s, but the longer it has gone on, the more in 需要・要求する she has become. It's やめる phenomenal. She is now a big brand in her own 権利.'

Proof, perhaps, that a 欠如（する） of any discernible talent should not stand in the way of fame and fortune - 特に if one is blessed with the 権利 指名する.
