When it comes to Paris fashion week, there is one showcase that 最高の,を越すs the 法案 each year ? with the biggest 星/主役にするs jetting in to catch a glimpse.

For one afternoon, Dior takes over the Tuileries Gardens for a 贈呈 that goes on to 影響(力) women's wardrobes across the world.

And yesterday's autumn/winter 2024 陳列する,発揮する was no exception.

There to 証言,証人/目撃する it were Dior 外交官/大使s Natalie Portman and Jennifer Lawrence 同様に the cast of The New Look, Apple TV's new 攻撃する,衝突する 演劇 about Christian Dior's life during the Second World War.

追加する to that just about every fashion influencer and magazine editor in the land, and you have yourself one of the biggest style moments of the year. But what stood out?

Skirts were laden in graffiti, trench coats buttoned up and worn like those of French resistance heroines

A lot, as it happens. Firstly there was the 行う/開催する/段階: a dimly-lit catwalk monopolised by statues of 軍人 women and images of a futuristic army.?

PS: And Emily really IS in Paris!?

She's been spotted in a 一連の fashion-今後 outfits filming the new 一連の Emily In Paris.

So Lily Collins ? naturellement ? …に出席するd the YSL show in the French 資本/首都 last night ? fittingly dressed in chic floral ゆらめくs.

Next (機の)カム the music: Serge Gainsbourg's 高度に 議論の的になる 1967 classic, Je t'目的(とする)... moi 非,不,無 加える.?

And then there were the models. Dozens of them, sombre yet 猛烈な/残忍な, in a muted palette of greys, 黒人/ボイコットs, whites and acres of beige.

They paraded out like a 60s-奮起させるd army in beatnik-style polo necks, 分裂(する) skirts, berets and lots of 膝-high boots.?

Skirts were laden in graffiti, ざん壕 coats buttoned up and worn like those of French 抵抗 ヘロインs.

The show was, of course, a homage to 行方不明になる Dior, the ready-to-wear label created in 1967 for a younger, hipper 消費者.?

What's more, 行方不明になる Dior was touchingly the 愛称 for Christian's sister Catherine, the 勇敢な 抵抗 闘士,戦闘機 played by Maisie Williams in The New Look.

I know what you're thinking: why does all this 反乱 事柄, and what does it have to do with fashion??

It 事柄s because what Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior's creative director, puts on the catwalk will, at some point, 結局最後にはーなる 影響(力)ing what you wear.?

And what you wear, whether you care to 収容する/認める it or not, 影響(力)s how you feel. Ms Chiuri is as much about making women feel good as she is about making them look good.?

You can see this in the flat, slouchy riding boots that almost every model wore, 同様に as the 深く,強烈に flattering structured jackets.

Some fashion houses, such as Giambattista Valli, will send more jaw-dropping 創造s 負かす/撃墜する the catwalk this week.?

And other designers will 影響する/感情 greater emotion with the spectacles they put on. Balenciaga, showing on Sunday, excels at sheer shock value.?

But Dior is nearly always the most 影響力のある collection, because women can 現実に see themselves wearing it.

'I am an Italian designer…' Ms Chiuri has famously said. 'To create something that is not wearable makes no sense.'

As a result, the critics have not always been 肉親,親類d to her, 特記する/引用するing her work as a little too 歩行者.?

But they and the women who 現実に buy the 着せる/賦与するs rarely agree on such things.

Which is why my 予測s for your wardrobe this year are pretty simple: a 黒人/ボイコット polo neck; a pair of flat, slouchy boots; a beige ざん壕; and maybe, just maybe, a 抵抗-style beret to 最高の,を越す it all off.
