They are surely the most famous 指名するs in musical theatre ― and it can be 明らかにする／漏らすd that Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber are 令状ing songs together again.

The pair are renowned for a trio of mighty musicals they created: Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (first 成し遂げるd in 1968); Jesus Christ Superstar (1971) and Evita (1978).

But they have 共同製作するd only occasionally since ― 令状ing the song You Must Love Me for the 1996 film of Evita, starring Madonna; and with Rice 与える／捧げるing '付加 lyrics' for Lloyd Webber's 2011 musical The Wizard Of Oz.

Now, though, they have teamed up again: to 令状 songs for a play which Rice's son Donald is producing.

Called Sherlock Holmes And The Twelve Days Of Christmas, it will feature the 広大な／多数の／重要な 探偵，刑事 puzzling over the work of a serial 殺し屋 who is 派遣（する）ing his 犠牲者s using methods 示唆するd by the carol ― think partridges and milkmaids.

Sir Tim, 79, told me: 'Andrew and I wrote one song together late last year and we are working on a couple more. The show is a comedy rather than a 十分な musical ― but we will do four or five songs in all.'

He continued: 'Andrew and I have always got on and I have really enjoyed 令状ing the words. The show is successful without the songs ― they just 追加する to it. The hope will be to have it on this Christmas.'

The play has been written by the comedian Humphrey Ker, along with David Reed. At that time, he said: 'I've got a couple of ideas, which might need the 半端物 song, but I don't see us sitting 負かす／撃墜する to do a 大規模な mega-musical again.'

The men's 共同 began after Rice wrote Lloyd Webber, 76, a letter, 述べるing himself as a 'with it' lyricist and 申し込む／申し出ing his services.

But, after Evita, they went their separate ways, with Lord Lloyd-Webber creating Cats, Phantom Of The オペラ and Starlight 表明する; and Sir Tim doing Chess and The Lion King (working with Elton John on the film and the musical).

Next month, Sir Tim is to 乗る，着手する on his 全国的な 小旅行する: My Life In Musicals. It will be packed 十分な of songs and will 含む conversations with the lyricist about his career.
