ギャング（団）s of New York

This 事業／計画（する） has been a long time coming - and we mean a long time!

Director ツバメ Scorsese 初めは conceived of the idea in 1978, but the box office 失敗 of Heaven's Gate two years later made studios 用心深い of expensively ambitious historical 演劇s and the idea was 棚上げにするd.

But the cast and 乗組員 have certainly made up for lost time. Lavish 始める，決めるs, painstaking attention to 詳細（に述べる） and scorching 業績／成果s are sure to make this one of the most 吸収するing cinema experiences of the year.

The movie follows a young Irish-American 移民，移住（する） called Amsterdam Vallon (DiCaprio) who arrives in New York City in 1863.

His father (Liam Neeson) was killed there 16 years earlier by William Cutting, さもなければ known as 法案 the Butcher (Daniel Day-吊りくさび), an anti-移民，移住（する） ギャング（団） leader. Cameron Diaz co-星／主役にするs as a すり who was raised by Cutting but 落ちるs in love with Amsterdam.

The film's 生産／産物 team spent almost a year in an Italian studio in Rome recreating the streets of New York City circa 1845-60. Almost an entire town was built.

Rumour has it that when 星／主役にする Wars director George Lucas visited it he told Scorsese he could create 正確に／まさに the same 影響s using a computer now.

The film has already won plaudits from movie 産業 moguls. Both Day-吊りくさび and DicCaprio are up for Best Actor Golden Globes, Scorsese has been 指名するd in the Best Director 部類 and the picture itself is up for Best Film.
