Kate's 招待 to an orgy

The 祝賀s for this momentous event began in a civilised enough fashion with a lunch at the Hyde Park 蜜柑 Oriental for the inner circle of 'Moss's Posse'. The usual 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うs were there, of course, Sadie 霜 and Stella McCartney, and a few other girlfriends.

自然に, it was a long, leisurely lunch, and 広大な 量s of the finest シャンペン酒 were 消費するd before the group 修理d to Kate's art deco 控訴 on the seventh 床に打ち倒す of Claridge's to get ready for the main event.

It was Kate's 30th birthday, and a party with the 主題 The Beautiful And The Damned was 存在 held in her honour.

Kate thought it would be 冷静な／正味の to recreate the 急速な／放蕩な-living world of sex, 麻薬s and debauchery 住むd by the beautiful, but 最終的に doomed, characters of the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel which is 始める，決める in 1920s New York.

As we shall see, given what happened later that night, there can be no question that she 後継するd.

It is 早期に last Friday evening, and an army of make-up artists are ready and waiting at the 控訴 to 確実にする that Kate and her 'posse' are やめる as beautiful as the occasion 要求するs.

Kate later 現れるs, 素晴らしい as ever, wearing a midnight blue sequinned dress with matching eyeshadow, her hair a 集まり of curls. She is famous for her partying lifestyle and has fought a very public 戦う／戦い against 麻薬 中毒, but her 直面する miraculously does not - as yet - betray all those years of hard living.

A 最近の hol iday to Jamaica with her boyfriend, Jefferson 切り開く／タクシー／不正アクセス, and one-year-old daughter, Lila, has left her tanned and healthy looking.

Sadie wears a slinky Twenties-style red number with a large belt that, as the evening wears on, has an unfortunate habit of 繰り返して 落ちるing to the 床に打ち倒す. Stella's homage to the 主題 is a peculiar dress, too tight on one 味方する, baggy on the other, with an ill-advised tightfitting cap on her 長，率いる.

The women are chauffeur driven to the party 発生地 - two grand 隣接するing four storey houses, linked by a connecting 中庭 - in 流行の／上流の Marylebone. They belong to 議論の的になる artist Sam Taylor-支持を得ようと努めるd and Serena Rees, owner of lingerie label スパイ／執行官 Provocateur. Both are friends of Kate and members of her 排除的 'inner circle'.

Red roses are scattered carelessly around the rooms along with hundreds of love-heart 甘いs inscribed touchingly: 'With Love From Kate'. The houses are sparsely furnished and decorated, save for lurid photographs on the cream 塀で囲むs of women in fetish 着せる／賦与するing.

Guests recline on chaises longues in carefully assumed 提起する／ポーズをとるs of louche 無関心／冷淡. Liveried waiters 最高の，を越す up their glasses with Krug and Cristal シャンペン酒, and light their cigarettes. A few of the 130 guests nibble on canapes.

Naomi Campbell is there, with her own little posse of three or four friends whose 機能（する）／行事 appears to be that of friend, sycophant and general gofer for the 需要・要求するing supermodel.

Actor Rhys Ifans, of Notting Hill fame, 雑談（する）s to fellow actress Samantha Morton. の近くに by is Rolling 石／投石する Ronnie 支持を得ようと努めるd with his wife Jo and daughter Leah. So, too, is television presenter and musician Jools Holland.

Sadie 霜's young boyfriend, 23-yearold Jackson Scott, arrives in a tight-fitting jacket and lots of 注目する，もくろむ make-up. 'I think it was to do with the Beautiful and Damned 主題, but he just looked weird and girly,' says an onlooker.

Kate's boyfriend wears an 驚くべき／特命の／臨時の white 控訴. Artist Tracey Emin is there, too, so is Amazonian model and actress, Grace Jones, who 雑談（する）s animatedly to milliner Philip Treacy, shoe designer Patrick Cox and fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

Stella's sister Mary, Marianne Faithfull and 原子の Kitten's Jenny 霜 are also の中で the throng.

They have all come 特に to see their favourite multi-millionaire supermodel, who has been at the 最高の，を越す of her profession for half her own lifestime. But where is she?

The elusive birthday girl

Kate, as it happens, doesn't feel the need to mingle の中で the people who have turned up at the party thrown 特に in her honour and spends most of the night 穴を開けるd up in one of the upstairs

rooms with Naomi Campbell.

The long-苦しむing Jefferson runs around the place, looking a trifle anxious, making sure all is running 滑らかに によれば Kate's wishes.

But soon everyone is asking: 'Where is Kate?

'It did get noticed that Kate didn't really mingle,' says one guest. 'The party was in her honour, after all. She was very 目だつ by her absence. Jefferson was looking rather 強調する／ストレスd and would pop upstairs from time to time, but nothing, it seems, could induce her to come 負かす／撃墜する and mingle with the other guests.'

What is going on upstairs between Kate and her friends, nobody knows. She's not even 利益／興味d in 検査／視察するing all the lavish 現在のs, bought for her by her adoring guests, which are 存在 neglected in a corner.

There are Dolce & Gabbana boxes 含む／封じ込めるing 着せる／賦与するs, at least one Cartier watch, and one Cartier necklace, 同様に as countless other beautifully 一括d boxes 含む／封じ込めるing fabulously expensive trinkets.

Dirty dancing

Upstairs, in another room, some guests are dancing. Tracey Emin does so wildly on her own, turning her 支援する rudely on Samantha Morton when she 試みる／企てるs to say hello.

Sam Taylor-支持を得ようと努めるd wiggles her 底（に届く） fu riously, かもしれない an 試みる／企てる at salsa, but no one can really tell. Other guests are doing a 一連の robotic moves and 星／主役にするing wide-注目する，もくろむd into space.

Strangest and most inexplicable of all, a number of young women, who look like models, are leaping の上に the 床に打ち倒す, rolling over and then springing 支援する up in 明らかな tiger impersonations.

'It was all very rum - hard to fathom' says a bemused guest who 証言，証人／目撃するd the dancing. 'They were moving in a cat-like way and leaping about. I suppose they thought it was 冷静な／正味の, but they looked utterly ridiculous. They looked wasted, to be honest.'

Surprisingly, one of the most popular parts of the house are the 洗面所s and there is a 列 all night long to get into the loos. 'People go in and out of them in groups of two and more, spend ages inside and then come out giggling,' says one 観察者／傍聴者.

Stella's 星／主役にする turn

As the evening wears on, an atmosphere of wild revelry takes 持つ／拘留する. Stella 簡潔に 現れるs from her sulk to do a duet with a 非難する singer. She has spoken of wanting to follow in her dad, Sir Paul's, footsteps, and try the music 商売／仕事.

Watching the 訴訟／進行s with 冷静な／正味の disdain is actress Gwyneth Paltrow with her new husband Chris ツバメ, lead singer with pop group, Coldplay. They 静かに sip fruit juice although Gwyneth does indulge herself with two, かもしれない, three, grapes.

'She had a look on her 直面する which said, what the hell am I doing here,' says another guest. A friend explains: 'Gwyneth was 招待するd so perhaps she felt 強いるd to go and perhaps also had no idea what it would be like. The truth is she finds the behaviour of Kate's 始める，決める unpalatable.'

After an hour, the 妊娠している Gwyneth and her husband can take no more and 勇敢に立ち向かう a paparazzi scrum to escape.

Sad Sadie

But, 式のs, not before Sadie 霜, already a touch worse for wear, has 待ち伏せ／迎撃するd her. 'Hello Gwyneth! We must do lunch!' she 噴出するs.

Gwyneth sort of shudders and mutters 'yes, we must' in the way people do when they know that nothing on earth will ever induce them to do such a thing.

Happily, her 冷静な／正味の reaction is 完全に lost on Sadie, who has 明確に reached that point where things are getting 煙霧のかかった.

She すぐに 低迷s into a 議長，司会を務める and proceeds to grimace at everyone around her. 'No one seemed to want to talk to her,' says a friend of Kate's. 'Sadie isn't that popular with members of Kate's 始める，決める.

'It's rather a 事例／患者 of Me and My 影をつくる／尾行する. Wherever Kate is, Sadie's three feet behind. But Kate can't seem to do without her. They're partners in 罪，犯罪.'

Sadie aside, everyone else seems to enjoy themselves and by 2am it has got so raucous that a number of （民事の）告訴s have been received about the noise levels.

支援する to Claridges

It was time, then, to 修理 to Kate's 控訴 支援する at Claridges - and yet more debauchery. Sadie forgets the 50 or so photographers 組み立てる／集結するd outside and staggers out of the party with her dress slipping 負かす／撃墜する, 明らかにするing a breast.

A picture will subsequently appear in a newspaper and she will receive a furious phone call from her ex-husband, Jude 法律, who says she is an 当惑 to her four children.

Around 50 people go 支援する to the 控訴, a 素晴らしい space with a marble 床に打ち倒す, exquisite blond 支持を得ようと努めるd furnishings and mirrored wardrobes. The living room is home to sumptuous sofas that staff plump up at 正規の／正選手 intervals - there's also two bedrooms and a bathroom.

Thirsty from the 旅行 over from the other party, the throng is quickly refreshed with more Krug and Cristal シャンペン酒 by the waiters. There are tubs brimming with beluga caviar on 申し込む／申し出 but no one is in the mood for eating, although a few guests nibble at ベルギー chocolates.

Dance the night away

By now, it's 3am, but this is the world of the beautiful people, and the night is still young. The sound system is switched o n 十分な 爆破 - a medley of Rolling 石／投石するs 攻撃する，衝突するs to the delight of Ronnie 支持を得ようと努めるd.

'負担s of people were strutting up and 負かす／撃墜する the room 強くたたくing the 空気／公表する and 押し進めるing their 長，率いるs 今後 pretending to be Mick Jagger,' says one who was there.

Moss and 支持を得ようと努めるd dance together before she goes off and sprawls herself across a 巨大（な） bed, 需要・要求するing that Jefferson bring her a drink.

She has been very 需要・要求するing of poor Jefferson all night, asking him to fetch her this drink or that. 'Poor Jefferson couldn't relax because it was 明確に his 責任／義務 to 確実にする that everything went off 滑らかに によれば Kate's wishes,' 明らかにする／漏らすs one of the guests.

At one point television presenter Janet Street-Porter decides to make an 試みる／企てる to join Kate and 緊急発進するs in an ungainly fashion on to the bed.

The debauchery begins...

But by far the most eyepopping event of the evening is now taking place in one of the 隣接するing bedrooms. As the mirrored door swings open every few minutes, a throng of naked 団体／死体s are 明らかにする／漏らすd on the bed, taking part in what is a 性の 解放する／自由な-for-all.

At one point a young woman comes out of the room and asks if there are any condoms around the place. 'I was utterly stunned,' says a fellow guest. 'Every time the door opened you couldn't help but notice what was going on.'

Indeed, most startling of all, one of the most eager 関係者s of these fevered goi ngs on is a woman who is a 世帯 指名する in Britain. She is having sex with a man who is neither husband nor 正規の／正選手 partner.

'She had taken her 着せる／賦与するs off and was 存在 やめる shameless about it,' says the stunned onlooker. 'They were having sex on the bed and all around them were other people engaged in 性の activity.'

When she has taken of her 楽しみ, she comes 支援する into the living room and carries on chatting to other guests as though nothing out of the ordinary has happened.

The most bizarre 面 of all of this is that no one else at the party appears to bat an eyelid. A stream of guests wander in and out of the room, 含むing Ronnie 支持を得ようと努めるd who 現れるs with a wide grin on his 直面する.

Stranger still, his daughter Leah is also in the 控訴 at Claridges - although not in the room where the orgy is taking place. 'It's hard to fathom, but these people really do live in a different world,' says a source.

'Since the party everyone has been 説 how 半端物 it was that Leah was there with her dad while all that was going on.'

Around 6am, the guests finally start to unwind and go out on to the balcony, with its みごたえのある 見解（をとる）s over London, and have meaningful conversations about what it is like to be beautiful and damned.

Around 8am, they 衝突，墜落 out in Kate's 控訴. One of the most decadent, debauched parties ever held there is finally over.

Knowing Kate, though, it won't be long before the next one. She is, say friends, in love and （麻薬）常用者d to living on the 辛勝する／優位. How long, one wonders, can she get away with it?

For it is all 井戸／弁護士席 and good to be beautiful - although even Kate's lovely 直面する will not escape the 荒廃させるs she 支配するs it to 無期限に／不明確に - but 非，不，無 of us truly wishes to be damned.
