'I'm tickled Pink about 存在 a mum!': No longer the bad girl of pop, the American singer 明らかにする/漏らすs the joys of motherhood
From hellraiser to doting mother: Pink (人命などを)奪う,主張するs she has become a 'walking cliche' after giving birth to her daughter Willow
Even pop’s greatest hellraisers have to 静める 負かす/撃墜する 結局. For Pink, that moment arrived last year, when she gave birth to her first child.
The brash American singer, famous for raucous blockbusters like Get The Party Started, 収容する/認めるs she went ‘off the rails’ as a 十代の少年少女 in Philadelphia ― and she carried on hellraising when she moved into the pop world.
Her marriage, to tattooed motorcross 支持する/優勝者 Carey Hart, has been a roller-coaster ride, too, with the couple splitting up in 2008 before getting 支援する together two years later.
Yet now, with one-year-old daughter Willow to dote on, life is sweeter than ever. ‘It feels as if everything has started to make sense,’
says Pink, who turns 33 next week. ‘I used to be bemused by people who sat around talking about their kids all day. I thought that was a cliche. 井戸/弁護士席 now I’m a walking cliche.
‘Willow is heavenly. She’s changed the way I look at life. She’s funny and fiery, with Carey’s looks and my 態度. It’s been amazing watching my man つまずく awkwardly into love with his baby daughter. I’d love to have more kids. I’d like a big, dysfunctional basketball team 十分な of them!’
Pink (real 指名する Alecia Moore) 追加するs that parenthood has worked wonders for her marriage. ‘We still have our moments, but that’s normal,’ she says. ‘We both come from families 影響する/感情d by 離婚, so we have 公約するd to do things 異なって.’
If motherhood has made Pink ‘more sober’, it hasn’t diluted the creative juices of a singer who has sold 30?million albums since making her debut with 2000’s Can’t Take Me Home.
Taking a six-month sabbatical after giving birth, she 設立する herself 支援する in a Los Angeles studio in January with songwriter Greg Kurstin. The 製品 of those 開会/開廷/会期s is a new album, The Truth About Love, that is as punchy and irreverent as anything she’s produced in the past 12 years.

Out later this month, it’s に先行するd by a 選び出す/独身, Blow Me (One Last Kiss), that is reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Want To Have Fun.
Pink says she now has a more 円熟した 態度 to her work. ‘Before, everything was very kamikaze. Now things have to 控訴 my life with Willow and Carey.’
Music, however, is still more than a career for Pink, who began singing 老年の 15 after 存在 kicked out of her mother’s house. Estranged from her Vietnam vet father, she began dabbling in 麻薬s.
‘My friends were selling 割れ目 コカイン, and I was out of 支配(する)/統制する. My dad thought I’d be dead within a year. But I had a 計画(する).’
By 1995, 麻薬 解放する/自由な, Pink 調印するd to her first music label and has never looked 支援する. ‘I いつかs think I don’t get the credit I deserve,’ she sighs. ‘But that keeps me 動機づけるd.’
One person who does give her credit is Adele. The superstar 特記する/引用するs Pink’s show at London’s Brixton 学院 in 2002 as the gig that changed her life. ‘I can remember that show 井戸/弁護士席 ― I’m flattered it had such an 衝撃. If I could choose one artist to 奮起させる, it would be her.’
