In a challenge that asked contestants to reminisce and invoke memories to produce an エース dish, for one MasterChef 競争相手, 苦痛 lead her to 勝利.

On Wednesday night's episode Amy, Jamie, Laura and Emelia were asked to produce a dish that had to 会社にする／組み込む two human senses - all part of Heston Blumenthal Week.

With taste of course 存在 one, they each had to 工夫する a dish using a second, and after winning the last challenge, Amy was given the advantage to choose her own.

The best: On Wednesday night's episode Amy, Jamie, Laura and Emelia were asked to produce a dish that had to 会社にする／組み込む two human senses - all part of Heston Blumenthal Week

Remembering her childhood of growing up on the beach, Amy chose sound - hoping that a seafood stew, fresh oysters and a soundtrack of 衝突，墜落ing waves, would do the trick.

Jamie was left with smell, Laura sight and Emelia touch.

Always poetic, 裁判官 Matt Preston gave the competitors come 奮起させるing words: 'Places in 決勝戦 week do not come cheaply, today you need your food to take flight.'

Jamie's memory took him 支援する to a time when he lived in the snow in New Zealand, just 負かす／撃墜する the road from a salmon farm.

Jamie chose to cure his fish as the 核心 成分 in his dish and use 乾燥した，日照りの ice to give it some winter-like ゆらめく.

Stepping away from her Italian 遺産, 19-year-old Laura moved out of her zone, deciding to 実験 with Japanese flavours, just what Heston 手配中の，お尋ね者 to see.

But like Jamie, she too decided to whip up a cured salmon to 会社にする／組み込む her senses.

に引き続いて strong memories of her childhood, Emelia 献身的な a dessert to her grandmother.

Creating a lemon verbena panna cotta, it just happened to be the second 周年記念日 of her food hero's death.

一方／合間 Amy struggled after cutting her thumb and having it bleed into her pastry dough, meaning she had to start all over again.

Jamie, 25, was 確信して from 早期に on that his dish was going to make him number one at the end of the day, making a science 実験 of zesty, alpine scents from liquid 窒素 and 必須の oils.

It was finally time for the contestants to 現在の their dishes, and first up was 確信して Jamie.

にもかかわらず the theatrics of his 製品 which fit the week 負かす／撃墜する to a T, 裁判官 Gary Mehigan said the bartender failed to connect his sense of smell to the dish while Heston said the flavour fell flat.

Next up was Amy, who got the foursome in the zone with their own Amy seaside remix, they gobbled 負かす／撃墜する the 'rustic' dish and they soaked up her sense of sound.

George was picky: 'I would of liked the seafood more carefully 用意が出来ている because I think it's a bit mucky.'

最終的に, the 裁判官s said her dish didn't take them to the seaside.

Usually messy with 贈呈 but 十分な of flavour, Laura wowed Heston, Gary, George and Matt with comments like 'beautiful' and 'gorgeous'.

For Gary, the 19-year-old cured salmon trumped the first: 'Jamie's was weak in flavour but Laura's is 位置／汚点／見つけ出す on.'?

Finally Emelia 現在のd the dessert 奮起させるd by her late grandmother, and she couldn't of made a better 尊敬の印.

While three would celebrate and go through to the 決勝戦 week, one would be sent through to the 排除／予選 一連の会議、交渉／完成する.

The first through to 決勝戦 week was Laura, 'Your dish showed so many things that excited me and that I love, it was delicate, コンビナート／複合体 and so 井戸／弁護士席 balanced,' Heston 発表するd.

The second through was Emelia: and Heston lavished her with compliments:? 'You had that moment through prepping that dish and somehow that emotion （機の）カム to the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する and that dish 奮起させるd me.'

F inally, Jamie was the third through, just by the 肌 of his teeth, while Amy was sent to 排除／予選 with Brent, Tracy and Ben.
