Madonna and Angelina in the mother of all catfights

For Hollywood's 権利-on 始める，決める, the 祝祭 首相 this week of a 文書の about the 苦境 of Sudanese tribesmen was the 最高潮の場面 of the socially-conscious calendar. As Nicole Kidman and fellow actor Edward Norton mingled with the A-名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） （人が）群がる, a 壊れやすい and hunched 人物／姿／数字 frantically 押し進めるd her way through the melee until she alighted upon the African '星／主役にするs' of the film, standing alone in a tight 密談する／（身体を）寄せ集める.

Then, after waiting for the paparazzi to line up in 前線 of her, Angelina Jolie bestowed a beatific smile on this somewhat bemused 次第で変わる／派遣部隊 as the flashguns popped around them.

For the divine 行方不明になる Jolie it was just too good a photo 適切な時期 to pass up - not least because it 供給するd her with the 弾薬／武器 for another 一斉射撃 in a bitter (but oh so entertaining) 反目，不和 over who can truly （人命などを）奪う，主張する the 肩書を与える of Tinseltown's selfappointed angel of mercy.

Her 対抗者 for the 栄冠を与える is 非，不，無 other than the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna. Such is the level of vitriol between the two 星／主役にするs that the pillow-lipped 行方不明になる Jolie broke cover this week to 告発する／非難する her 競争相手 of '不法に' 可決する・採択するing her oneyearold Malawian son, David Banda.

行方不明になる Jolie's attack （機の）カム after the singer went on the 不快な／攻撃 herself, branding 行方不明になる Jolie and her boyfriend, Brad Pitt, as 'idiots' after they 宣言するd their ambition to build their own 'rainbow 連合' of international adoptees.

Little wonder Hollywood is lapping up this delicious catfight between two of the world's biggest 女性（の） 星／主役にするs, 特に as, if rumours are to be believed, it is lent 追加するd spice by something of a Sapphic frisson.

The Mail has learnt that a lipstick lesbian is 令状ing a no-持つ／拘留するs-閉めだした 調書をとる／予約する in which she will 述べる in graphic 詳細（に述べる） how she was a lover of the 素晴らしい actress and the singer at the same time.

Jenny Shimizu, a 39-year-old model, will 主張する that Madonna flew her around the world for secret 連絡事務s before she married the film director Guy Ritchie. Their 事件／事情／状勢, she says, 同時に起こる／一致するd with an 平等に 熱烈な fling with the leggy 行方不明になる Jolie.

All steamy stuff, and the 発見 that they are 申し立てられた／疑わしい to have been competitors for the affections of the 刈る-haired 行方不明になる Shimizu will, doubtless, do nothing to 改善する relations between the two 星／主役にするs.

They fell out after 31-year-old Jolie, who has herself 可決する・採択するd two children from the 第三世界, counselled Madonna over her 計画（する）s to 可決する・採択する a baby of her own.

The singer's friends say she was inundated with a flurry of 圧力をかけて脅す（悩ます）ing e-mails from the （選挙などの）運動をするing 行方不明になる Jolie after Pitt, who is friends with Ritchie, 説得するd the couple over dinner that they should consider giving a home to a child.

But when 行方不明になる Jolie heard that the Ritchies were planning to take on an African child, she is said to have 主張するd that they 内密に visit orphanages in Ethiopia where 行方不明になる Jolie 設立する her daughter, Zahara, almost two. (She also has a five-year-old Cambodian son, Maddox, 同様に as her natural baby daughter by Pitt, Shiloh.)

It was not advice Madonna was inclined to take. Instead, まっただ中に a frenzy of publicity, she travelled to Malawi in October to carry out the 議論の的になる 採択 of baby David.

The 無視する，冷たく断わる did not go 負かす／撃墜する 井戸／弁護士席 with 行方不明になる Jolie. Within days, she was bemoaning to friends the 傾向 of celebrities 'jumping on the 採択 bandwagon' to buy themselves 肯定的な publicity, although she pointedly 辞退するd to 指名する Madonna.

Then, this week, the Oscar-winning actress waded in, telling a French magazine: 'Madonna knew the 状況／情勢 in Malawi, where he (David) was born. It is a country where there is no 合法的な 枠組み for 採択. 本人自身で, I prefer to stay on the 権利 味方する of the 法律. I would never take a child away from a place where 採択 is 違法な.'

Unsurprisingly, Madonna is said to be ' apoplectic' over the 発言／述べるs, 特に as she has yet to be 認めるd 十分な 保護／拘留 of David and is 直面するing a 新たにするd 猛攻撃 from human 権利s groups in Mala wi who say she and Ritchie used their celebrity and a £1.7 million 寄付 to the orphanage where David lived to bypass the 法律 治める／統治するing 採択s by foreigners.

At the same time, she has been 攻撃する，衝突する by 発覚s this week that she is 支払う／賃金ing the tuition 料金s for a Malawian 政府 公式の／役人 whose 同僚s helped the singer with the 採択. Madonna 報道によれば agreed to 基金 civil servant Willard Manjolo's degree at Swansea University in June last year, four months before she was given the allclear to bring the boy home to Britain.

The 発覚s come as David's father, Yohane Banda, complained this week that he can't 接触する the 48-year-old singer to find out about his son.

'I don't have her phone and mailing 演説（する）／住所s,' he told a Malawian newspaper. 'All I want is to find out how my son is, but I don't know how I can do it.'

Hardly the best time, then, for 行方不明になる Jolie's 高度に public comments, which （機の）カム barely a month after she criticised David's 採択 in another magazine interview.

That 原因（となる）d Madonna to 答える／応じる with a stinging swipe of her own, in which she 率直に ridiculed 行方不明になる Jolie and Pitt over their 計画／陰謀 to build an orphanage in India. She said: 'I'm not 利益／興味d in going there like an idiot and going, "承認する, I'm going to build ten orphanages and I'll see you guys later".

'I've joined the UN and become an 外交官／大使, visited さまざまな countries and just showed up and smiled and looked 関心d. But that's not getting to the root of the problem and neither is building 孤児 care centres.'

That 負傷させるing riposte is 報告（する）／憶測d to have left 行方不明になる Jolie - herself an 外交官／大使 for the UN High （売買）手数料，委託（する）／委員会／権限 for 難民s - seething, with a friend 説: 'Angelina is shocked. She can't believe it. She was asking: "Where did that come from?" It just seemed like a very personal attack.

'Angelina thinks the worst part of it all is that Madonna could have used the 適切な時期 to say something that could 現実に be of 利益 to someone.'

Nor have some inside Madonna's （軍の）野営地，陣営 stopped there. 公然と, her ひどく 保護の publicist Liz

Hardly typical maternal 感情s. But then friends の近くに to the 星／主役にする couple, who fell for each other on the 始める，決める of the film Mr And Mrs Smith two years ago while 43-year-old Pitt was still married to actress Jennifer Aniston, paint a somewhat colourful picture of life with the decidedly 半端物 行方不明になる Jolie.

They say that she recently walked out of the minimalist Malibu mansion she 株 with Pitt and left him minding the children while she checked into the 控訴 of a Beverly Hills hotel - to learn French. They also told the Mail she complained that she had been trying to concentrate on her 熟考する／考慮するs, but was 存在 乱すd by her children. She was, 明らかに, away for some days.

Not that the couple aren't also 傾向がある to the usual Hollywood 超過s. Three months ago they spent £200,000 on 作品 by trendy British 'guerilla artist' Banksy at a show in Los Angeles.

One, a 破産した／（警察が）手入れする of a man with a bleeding 弾丸 穴を開ける in the forehead, 始める，決める them 支援する £40,000 and they also 爆撃するd out £120,000 on a 絵 called Picnic, which 描写するs a white family of four lunching under an umbrella while 15 餓死するing Africans look on.

The irony of their own 目だつ 消費 was, it seems, lost on the couple.

But in true 人道的な style, the pair 拒絶するd festive 祝賀s to spend Christmas Day with 難民s (and an 招待するd camera 乗組員) in Costa Rica.

一方／合間, it seems it is Pitt who takes on the 本体，大部分／ばら積みの of childcare chez Brangelina, with the actress letting slip in the same interview this week: 'Each morning I'm woken by Brad, who gets agitated by changing the nappies of Zahara and Shiloh at the same time.'

Hardly surprising, then, that the 以前は high-living Pitt chose to spend a New Year holiday drinking beer with a bunch of male friends on a ヨット in the Virgin Islands.

Nor is it surprising that rumours about the 明言する／公表する of their 関係 continue, 特に as twice-married 行方不明になる Jolie 主張するs she has no 意向 of making it 合法的な.

At the same time the actress is looking ますます skinny, with newspapers running pictures this week of bulging veins in her bony 武器 and 手渡すs, which 専門家s 非難する on her punishing 演習 政権. It is not, it's fair to say, a good look, but ironically it is 株d by her 競争相手 Madonna whose dedication to working out has had the same unsightly 影響.

Which brings us 支援する to that 反目，不和 and Madonna's 主張 that - not content with one 可決する・採択するd child to 追加する to her own children, Lourdes, ten, and Rocco, six - she now 計画（する）s to return to Malawi to 可決する・採択する a baby girl.

Would it be too 冷笑的な to 示唆する that, not to be outdone, we can 推定する／予想する a 相互の (and 高度に public) 行為／法令／行動する of compassion from the 決定するd 行方不明になる Jolie some time in the 近づく 未来?
