He may have made his 指名する encouraging us to do up our homes, but Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has 明らかに had a change of heart.

The 内部の designer, who appeared on the BBC's Changing Rooms programme, has 警告するd that TV 専門家s trick テレビ視聴者s into believing that a change in their decor can fill a 無効の in their lives.

"That's the way that we 専門家s do it - we 料金d on your insecurity," said Llewelyn-Bowen, 42.

"I will go into a bedroom and I will be looking with a (弁護士の)依頼人 and looking around, and I will say, 'How's your love life?'. And 即時に you can tell.

"When she goes, 'Oh 井戸/弁護士席, you know', I say,

'井戸/弁護士席, it's those cushions', he told ITV's 24 Hours With...

Llewelyn-Bowen 述べるd himself as a

"wallpaper (v)策を弄する/(n)騎手" in Changing Rooms, in which a team 含むing "Handy" Andy Kane and Carole Smillie 改造するd rooms.

But in the ITV interview he apologised for the 攻撃する,衝突する programme, which ended 2004.

It was a "trick" of the programme that men and women felt that their life would be 高めるd by changing the decor in their house, he said.

"It's a trick. It's smoke and mirrors - but there it is. I mean, it is how you を取り引きする it.

"You can sort of cough gently in a corner and say, '現実に you know how this all looks really nice, and you know how we did it and you know you made a change? 井戸/弁護士席, you can 現実に use that impetus, you can 現実に use that energy to change other stuff if you want to'.

"The danger is when you start tubthumping and say, 'You see the way you have made this change in your home? You should now be thinking about your life, your marriage, your this, your that'.

"I am worried we are so casual about change. Ten years 負かす/撃墜する the line, I am not sure how 価値のある it is to have a society 納得させるd that it, things, should be changed rather than just getting on with the life they have got, with the so ciety they have got.

"Making what they have got work, rather than 非難するing your wallpaper for what's wrong." Interviewer Jamie Campbell 示唆するd that Llewelyn-Bowen had "essentially" 認める conning

people.

But he replied: "Did I say I was conning them?

He 追加するd: "You have encouraged me to be 倫理的な.

"So 現実に now my bed linen will have a label on it 説 this bed linen is really pretty, will make your bedroom look 広大な/多数の/重要な, maybe even a bit like your summer in Provence. But it won't 改善する your sex life."
