X Factor contestant Deanna Mussington jumped for joy last night when she was told she was going through to the final 行う／開催する／段階s of the 競争.

However, behind the 22-year-old singer's smiles was the heartache of what she has left behind at home in Anguilla ? the Caribbean island destroyed by ハリケーン Irma last month.

The singer's family lost their car 雇う 商売／仕事 in the 災害, and she wept as she watched her 隣人's home 存在 torn to pieces by the 嵐／襲撃する.

Speaking to The Mail on Sunday about the traumatic scenes, Deanna said she thought she was going to die.?

'I'm blessed to be alive after what happened. I am very, very 感謝する,' she said.

'There is nothing left of my 隣人's house now, I watched it get blown apart.?

'She has nothing left and my mother's 商売／仕事 has gone.?

'All of the cars were destroyed. Someone in our community died too.'

She said islanders had been without mains electricity に引き続いて the 嵐／襲撃する, relying on 発生させる人（物）s for 力／強力にする. 'But they don't last for ever,' she 追加するd.
