Channel 4 has more 指名／任命s than any other channel for the second year running. The 放送者 is up for 23 awards, ahead of BBC1 with 20, ITV1 with 12, and BBC2 with 11.

But there was no room in the continuing 演劇 部類 for ITV1's 載冠（式）／即位（式） Street, with 指名／任命s for the soap award going to EastEnders, Holby City, Emmerdale and The 法案.

A year after Sky One celebrated its first two Baftas, 含むing one for Ross Kemp on ギャング（団）s, the channel received no 指名／任命s.

BBC1's The Street is in the running for best 演劇 series up against Life on 火星, Rome and 肌s; while Harry Hill's TV Burp will compete against three-times-指名するd 厳密に Come Dancing, Britain's Got Talent and nine-time 指名された人 Have I Got News For You in the entertainment programme 部類.

Hill is also 指名するd for the entertainment 業績／成果 prize, along with Never Mind the Buzzcocks' Simon Amstell, QI presenter Stephen Fry and Alan Carr and Justin 物陰／風下 Collins of Channel 4's Friday Night 事業／計画（する）.

ITV1 has three out of the four sports awards, with nods for its ニュース報道 of the Boat Race, Canadian Grand Prix and Rugby World Cup 半分-final between England and フラン. BBC1 is 指名するd for the Wimbledon men's final.

指名するd for the sitcom prize are ITV1's Benidorm, BBC4's The 厚い of It, and Peep Show and The IT （人が）群がる, both on Channel 4.

More4 receives its first Bafta 指名／任命 for 選び出す／独身 演劇 The 裁判，公判 of Tony Blair, up against two Channel 4 shows, Boy A and The 示す of Cain, and BBC1's Coming 負かす／撃墜する The Mountain. In the running for the 演劇 serial award, along with Cranford, are Channel 4's Britz and BBC1's Murphy's 法律 and Five Days.

Heston Blumenthal also receives his first 指名／任命 for BBC2's Heston Blumenthal: In Search of Perfection. He is up against fellow chef Gordon Ramsey, for Channel 4's Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, in the features 部類 along with BBC2's 最高の，を越す Gear and another Channel 4 show, The Secret Millionaire.

Channel Five's Paul Merton in 中国 is 指名するd for the factual series prize, one of two 指名／任命s for the 放送者, up against BBC1's The Tower: A Tale of Two Cities, BBC2's Tribe and Channel 4's 会合，会う The Natives.

The international programme Bafta will go to either Five's Californication, Channel 4's My 指名する is Earl, BBC2's Heroes or BBC3's Family Guy.

The Bafta TV awards, sponsored by Sky+, will be held at the London Palladium on April 20. They will be hosted by Graham Norton and broadcast on BBC1.
