Today's 探偵，刑事s 所有する 科学（工学）技術 that would make Hercule Poirot gasp.

レーザー scanners can 地図／計画する a 罪，犯罪 scene and create a 3D computer image 正確な to the smallest fragment of 証拠. デオキシリボ核酸 分析 can identify an individual from a speck of 血.

Yet police 長，指導者s seem incapable of recognising 露骨な／あからさまの 犯罪の activity when it happens in 十分な public 見解（をとる）. Either they don't see it, or they don't care.

The result is an 猛攻撃 of 麻薬s 暴力／激しさ that is terrorising every city in Britain. 法廷のs: The Real CSI (BBC2) 始める，決める out to show the electronic 前進するs that 運動 modern policing. Some 器具／備品 is so futuristic, it seems like sci-fi.

'Three-dimens ional point clouds', or レーザー-生成するd colour pictures on laptop 審査するs, were 詳細（に述べる）d to the millimetre. Police could 見解（をとる） a 場所 from every angle, 調査するing it from above or zooming in for a fingertip search.

The tech was stretched to the 限界 as West Midlands Police 調査／捜査するd a 二塁打 殺人 in Dudley. One man was 設立する dead in a 郊外の street.

Another was 急ぐd to hospital by his brother and 甥, where he died within hours.

Both 犠牲者s 苦しむd bizarre, ３倍になる-辛勝する／優位d を刺す 負傷させるs ― in the 形態／調整, as one 巡査 発言／述べるd, of a Mercedes Benz badge. The brother wasn't keen to be interviewed. 'I'm not in the mood, mate,' he told an officer.

The man was one of a family of 麻薬s 供給者s. They owned two houses in a 居住の street. One was crammed to the rafters with cannabis 工場／植物s. There was little secrecy about their 違法な 操作／手術. Other ギャング（団）s certainly knew about it, because one night seven lads turned up to burgle the place. The brothers met them, 武装した with 追跡（する）ing crossbows.

In the melee that followed, Saghawat Ramzan misfired his 武器, fatally 負傷させるing his brother, Waseem, with a three-bladed bolt.

Then he loosed it off again, 殺人，大当り one of the raiders ― 19-year-old Khuzaimah Douglas, a kickboxer with the England squad.

隣人s terrified by the brawl dialled 999. We were not told whether they had ever 報告（する）／憶測d 疑惑s that the 前提s were 存在 used as a cannabis factory.

Even if they had, it's ありそうもない that any 活動／戦闘 would be taken. The 探偵，刑事s appeared 完全に uninterested in the 麻薬s den. There might 同様に have been a model 鉄道 in the attic. To anyone with an ounce of sense, it is plain that while police ignore the open sale and use of cannabis, 狙撃s and stabbings will continue to 増加する.

What's the point of a police 軍隊 that doesn't bother to fight it? As it goggled over the 数字表示式の 科学（工学）技術, this 文書の didn't stop to ask that question.

Hercule Poirot's 力／強力にするs of 観察 were on 陳列する，発揮する in Agatha Christie's England (C5), though this one-off travelogue would not have 税金d his little grey 独房s. The idea was good. We visited Agatha's favourite places, 特に the haunts of her 青年, to discover how they 影響（力）d her stories.

But the 結論s were so shallow, even Scotland Yard's plodding 視察官 Japp might have done better.

Brown's Hotel in Mayfair became the setting for her 1965 調書をとる／予約する At Bertram's Hotel, for instance. The boathouse where a 団体／死体 is discovered in Dead Man's Folly was based on the one at the 底（に届く） of the writer's own garden at Greenway, her holiday home in Devon.

Is it possible, could it just be, that those 鉄道 旅行s 奮起させるd 殺人 On The Orient 表明する? Good lord, Poirot, I think you're 権利 . . .
