The 侵略 is a remake of 侵略 Of The 団体/死体 ひったくりs, the old sci-fi paranoia-piece 警告 us against 順応/服従, and it's such a mess that, even though it 星/主役にするs Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, Warner Brothers decided not to show it to British critics.

Having seen it, I know why: it can only have been made by pod people.

Kidman gives her most personality-解放する/自由な 業績/成果 as a psychiatrist whose estranged husband (Jeremy Northam) starts behaving suspiciously by becoming a better father to his son (Jackson 社債). How spooky is that? The answer is: not even わずかに.

Nicole Kidman in The Invasion

Helped by her doctor paramour (Daniel Craig, who looks understandably depressed) and one of his 同僚s (the hapless Jeffrey Wright, saddled with some of the most leadenly speeches in movie history), she discovers that extraterrestrial 軍隊s are taking over the world by - wait for it - 発射物 vomiting.

Cue the most effusive expectorations of pea soup since The Exorcist.

The parts of the film that made me want to throw up, however, were the laughably pretentious 試みる/企てるs to link the 初めの 主題s of the novel to events in Iraq and Darfur.

The abject screenplay 敗北・負かすd at least two directors. The German Olivier Hirschbiegel (who made Downfall) is still given the 'credit', although I gather he was 取って代わるd in 生産/産物 by James McTeigue (V For Vendetta) and the Wachowski brothers (The Matrix movies).

The 広告s for the picture 警告する: "Do not 信用 anyone. Do not show emotion. Do not 落ちる asleep."

The last bit is sound advice, but audiences may find it hard to follow.
