Qld knife searches lead police to 麻薬s
Carrying a 始める，決める of 重要なs on a train could result in a police officer asking you to empty your pockets under 提案するd Queensland 法律s, a public 審理，公聴会 has heard.
Should they pass 議会, the 法律s will give police "exceptional" 力／強力にするs to search people for knives on public 輸送（する） and in nightclub 管区s without reasonable 疑惑.
They will do so using metal （犯罪，病気などの）発見 病弱なd, but a review に引き続いて a 裁判，公判 on the Gold Coast 設立する an 増加するd number of 麻薬 （犯罪，病気などの）発見s linked to the searches.
How the use of a metal scanner was 暴露するing 麻薬s was explained by Griffith University's Janet Ransley at a public 審理，公聴会 into the 法律s on Monday.
"Everybody has on them 重要なs or a pen or some 肉親，親類d of metal 反対する," Professor Ransley said.
"Once a 病弱なd has 誘発する／引き起こすd, the person wanded is 要求するd to empty their pockets."
If the 病弱なd continues to go off, an officer can form reasonable 疑惑 and is する権利を与えるd to a search.
"That's how we get the 増加する in 麻薬 （犯罪，病気などの）発見s," Prof Ransley said.
Care needs to be taken to 確実にする the 力／強力にするs don't result in the "by-passing of reasonable 疑惑 保護（する）／緊急輸入制限s", the 報告（する）／憶測 by Griffith University's Criminology 学校／設ける 公式文書，認めるd last year.
"The ability to 行為／行う wandings in the absence of any reasonable 疑惑 is a very 重要な 出発 from normal 犯罪の 法律 and 手続き," it says
"While 所有するing 麻薬s is an offence in Queensland, the 衝撃 of wanding on a person's human 権利s has been 正当化するd by the 可能性 of 減ずるing violent 罪，犯罪, not 麻薬 offences."
Young people 設立する with a small 量 of 麻薬s will lik ely experience flow-on 影響s through 接触する with the 犯罪の 司法（官） system, Prof Ransley said.
"That's something that needs to be 演説（する）／住所d, perhaps with training," she said.
The new 法律s will mean the wanding 裁判，公判 is 延長するd for two years and 拡大するd to all 安全な night 管区s in Queensland, 同様に as public 輸送（する）.
"Throughout the 裁判，公判 we have seen hundreds of dangerous 武器s 存在 （悪事，秘密などを）発見するd and taken off our streets," Queensland Police 事実上の／代理 副 Commissioner 示す Wheeler said in a 声明.
"There is 絶対 no 推論する／理由 why a 法律-がまんするing 国民 needs to arm themselves with knives, knuckle dusters or screw drivers as we have seen on the Gold Coast."
