'Someone's watching you': TikTok 警告 for families
Australians have been 警告するd to do their homework before downloading TikTok as 関心s grow over 安全 恐れるs.
自治大臣 Clare O'Neil will soon receive a review into privacy, political 検閲, and 故意の誤報 on the Chinese-owned social マスコミ app.
The US, Canada, and the European Union have banned 政府 従業員s from having TikTok on work-問題／発行するd 装置s.
閣僚 大臣 Tanya Plibersek 勧めるd the community to 再考する the apps they used, and what data they were 手渡すing over.
"It's important to know what you're letting yourself in for when you're 参加するing in social マスコミ in this way," Ms Plibersek said on Monday.
"It's important that you know what your kids are downloading on to their phones 同様に."
Ms Plibersek said when it （機の）カム to social マスコミ apps, "if it's for 解放する／自由な and it seems too good to be true, it probably is".
国家のs MP Barnaby Joyce said he didn't have the app on his phone as it was Chinese-owned.
"If we lost TikTok, I don't think Australia would be a worse place," he said.
"As you're watching it (TikTok) someone's watching you or at least taking into account the data that you use and how you use it."
