Stories for the 審査する bring Indigenous people together

Artistic director Tony Briggs believes the Birrarangga Film Festival 統一するs Indigenous peoples from around the world through story.

"It's 驚くべき/特命の/臨時の, it's the way we tell our stories."

The Birrarangga Film Festival, a 祝賀 of Indigenous films from around the globe, is returning to Naarm (Melbourne), from March 23-28.

"Bones of Crows is an epic film and it's beautifully made," Briggs said.

"I find these 肉親,親類d of stories really fascinating because 正確に/まさに the same thing that happened to our 暴徒 here happened to other 暴徒s all over the world."

Briggs said Bones of Crows tells an important story.

"People need to understand that Indigenous children 存在 stolen from their families was not an 孤立するd event," he said.

"It's not some いわゆる '黒人/ボイコット armband' 見解(をとる) of history, this happened all over the colonised world.< /p>

"This story is a real testament to the strength and courage of all the people who fought against this 肉親,親類d of tyranny and it's also beautifully 発射, so I implore people to get tickets and come and see it."

The program also features new short films by Aboriginal filmmakers, a 審査 of Leah Purcell's The Drover's Wife and, for the first time, a kids program, Kyindoo Wilam (Learning Place), a 選択 of 活気/アニメーションs and short films.
