Port can ride out GWS '津波': Sam Powell-Pepper

Sam Powell-Pepper knows Port Adelaide's 傷害-攻撃する,衝突する backline alone won't stop the Greater Western Sydney "津波".

So the 堅い-as-nails 力/強力にする 今後 has 勧めるd the 残り/休憩(する) of his 味方する to step up and 動かす the Adelaide Oval faithful into 活動/戦闘 in Saturday's ノックアウト AFL 半分-final.

Powell-Pepper (two goals, 19 処分s) was の中で Port's best in a 48-point loss to the Brisbane Lions on Saturday at the Gabba.

His ferocious duel with Brandon Starcevich was an entertaining subplot in a qualifying final shoot-out Port 簡潔に led before the hosts 炎d (疑いを)晴らす late in the third 4半期/4分の1.

Second-half 傷害s to defenders Trent McKenzie and Dylan Williams, 同様に as the loss of captain Tom Jonas late last week, 追加するd その上の 頭痛s for Port coach Ken Hinkley.

The 巨大(な)s have won 10 of their last 12 games to reach the 半分-final, although one of those losses was by 51 points against the 力/強力にする a month ago.

"We'll take a lot from that second 4半期/4分の1 (against Brisbane) and 信用/信任 from the 勝利,勝つ against GWS a couple of weeks 支援する," Powell-Pepper told AAP.

"But we won't take them lightly. We'll have to put some time into Toby Greene and they're like a 津波, you know.

"They just run in waves and it's really hard to defend.

"Our backline's held up throughout the year but you can't just rely on them.

"We've all got to help each other and we'll be ready for a 捨てる."

Powell-Pepper said there would be no "moping around" given Port's third-place finish afforded them a second chance at their home ground.

"So we'll take some 公式文書,認めるs and 解雇する/砲火/射撃 it up f or next week," he said.

"You've got to get 支援する on the horse, be 肯定的な, 運動 training and enjoy the excitement of playing in 前線 of a home (人が)群がる."

It will be a welcome return home after Brisbane's Gabba faithful were in 十分な 発言する/表明する on Saturday.

"It's always hard coming up there; it was pretty loud," Powell-Pepper said.

"Our fans give us a lot of energy so we'll 料金d off that.

"We're still in 決勝戦, so we should be very excited."
