Live music to roar as 地元の 発生地s pin hopes on 復活

Major 小旅行するs, strong 需要・要求する and 政府 support all bode 井戸/弁護士席 for the nation's live music scene continuing its 地位,任命する-pandemic 回復 in 2024.

But an 産業 leader says while big concerts are popular, music lovers should not forget to support budding 地元の artists as live shows continue to bounce 支援する from the COVID-19 pandemic.

International 指名するs such as Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Blink-182 and Pink are 始める,決める to fill stadiums this year, but they are just the tip of the iceberg.

The influx of major 行為/法令/行動するs 長,率いるing to Australia in 2024 含むs former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson, Raye, Paul Weller, Queens of the 石/投石する Age, and The 化学製品 Brothers.

一方/合間, pop queen Kylie Minogue takes to the 行う/開催する/段階 in Las Vegas for a 20-date residency, and plenty of other Australian artists are out in 軍隊.

Jessica Mauboy, Shannen James, Peter Garrett, G Flip and The Veronicas are all 約束ing new music, while Indigenous hip-hop group 3% is talking about a 小旅行する of Victorian 刑務所,拘置所s, 同様に as a debut album 解放(する).

Missy Higgins sold out 22 concerts in one day for her 近づいている 周年記念日 小旅行する, with two concerts in Melbourne and Sydney 調書をとる/予約するd out in five minutes.

If Australians want to see more 行為/法令/行動するs come up the 階級s then they need to get out and watch them, says Stephen Wade, the CEO of Sydney-based 機関 Select Music who also 議長,司会を務めるs the Australian Live Music 商売/仕事 会議.

"There are so many amazing, young 行為/法令/行動するs hitting the road presently, and as an 産業, they need as much support as possible from lovers of live music," he told AAP.

"So buying a ticket at your 地元の or a smaller 発生地 to check out a line-up of up-and-coming 行為/法令/行動するs , even if you don't know them, helps 強化する the scene from the roots up."

COVID-19 制限s took a 抱擁する (死傷者)数 on the arts across the globe, with many performers struggling to stay in the 産業 and no audiences to play to.

得点する/非難する/20s of music 発生地s and pubs の近くにd their doors as 商売/仕事s 耐えるd rolling lockdowns, with some never to 再開する.

But 最近の 政府 率先s have been trying to breathe life 支援する into the Australian live music scene by making it easier to host gigs.

In June 2023, Victoria 指名するd Melbourne's St Kilda the 明言する/公表する's first live music 管区, where live music is considered a 優先 activity, meaning いっそう少なく red tape for 発生地s.

In October, NSW 発表するd a $58 million 精密検査する of the 明言する/公表する's live music 規則s, with the 政府 約束ing to 溝へはまらせる/不時着する the 官僚主義 and end the "age of lockouts".

The changes will make it easier for 発生地s to host events and more difficult for noise (民事の)告訴s to shut them 負かす/撃墜する, with live music 発生地s 許すd to 貿易(する) for two hours longer in a 企て,努力,提案 to "bring 支援する vibrancy" to inner city life.

Just this month, the 明言する/公表する 政府 解除するd a 議論の的になる cap on events at Allianz Stadium in Moore Park from four to 20 a year.

首相 Chris Minns 示唆するd 解除するing the 制限s, introduced more than two 10年間s ago に引き続いて a 特に noisy Rolling 石/投石するs concert, would 注入する $120 million into the NSW economy.

"There have definitely been plenty of 肯定的な changes from all levels of 政府 and I feel we have shown as an 産業 not only our professionalism at 存在 able to 配達する everything from corner pub small gigs up to world class stadium shows," said Mr Wade.

"Many 広大な/多数の/重要な 率先s have been put i nto place and it will be exciting to watch them roll out and for our 産業 to embrace this new-設立する 関係."

Australia might be 現れるing from the COVID-煙霧 - Live 業績/成果 Australia 人物/姿/数字s show the 産業 made $2 billion in 2022, with 24.2 million people …に出席するing ticketed shows, and 2024 looks to continue that 上向き 傾向.

But there is still more to be done, Mr Wade said.

"At 現在の, the 産業 is 支援する to operating 100 per cent but still 直面するing many challenges," he said.

"Big 星/主役にするs and events that feature 井戸/弁護士席-known 行為/法令/行動するs are 主要な the way, but we are still seeing 行為/法令/行動するs struggling in the smaller 発生地s across Australia and finding it much harder to develop our next 世代 of superstars because of this, so we are not out of the 支持を得ようと努めるd yet.

"Remember also that every major Australian 行為/法令/行動する started their careers in the smallest pubs, so it's important they stay healthy."

On an international level, Australian artists are ますます in 需要・要求する, he says.

"We are seeing more 利益/興味 than ever before in the Australian artists we 代表する overseas," Mr Wade said.

"And genre seems to be irrelevant - our artists are in 抱擁する 需要・要求する, whether it be Rufus Du Sol, The Teskey Brothers, JET, Lime Cordiale or Amy Shark."
