Collingwood's Maxwell retires from AFL
Nick Maxwell, they said you'd never make it.
Maxwell 屈服するd to 傷害 on Wednesday, 発表するing his 退職 after 208 AFL games.

Maxwell captained the Magpies from 2009 to 2013, 含むing the 2010 首相の職. He played 10 games in 2014.
Even if he says so himself, he gave it everything and now has nothing left.
"I've just tried to do the best with what I've got," the former Geelong Falcons Under-18 player told a マスコミ 会議／協議会.
"My 職業 was to get in the 直面する of 対立 and try to be as hard as I could in every contest.
"That was my niche and that's what I tried to do."

"It was a 戦う／戦い, but I loved the 戦う／戦いs and I loved having to 証明する people wrong and I loved having to fight against the 半端物s," Maxwell said.
"Unfortunately after my ankle 傷害 on Sunday, I 設立する out that I was probably looking at about 10 weeks' 回復 which was going to be the season.
"Knowing what was 伴う／関わるd, I just knew I had nothing left.
"I feel like I've given everything I could, every training 開会／開廷／会期 and every game, and unfortunately my 団体／死体, it had enough so that's it."
Maxwell thanked the club's 支持者s who knew his 欠陥s, but also recognised he'd do anything he could to help the team.
"I certainly didn't believe I could play at this level, a lot of the time," Maxwell said.
Maxwell said 早期に in his career he was 動機づけるd by those who 疑問d him.
"Just wanting to 証明する people wrong and make a difference and make a career out of AFL footy," he said.
But his 焦点（を合わせる） soon 転換d to 返すing those who had 約束 in him, like his coaches Mick Malthouse and Buckley.
"Far too often people want to talk about 潜在的に what he doesn't have in a football-talent sense," Buckley said.
"But that's a small part of what footy 現実に is.
"It's the character that you carry. It's the かかわり合い that you've got to your team and your チーム仲間s.
"He was told he wasn't going to make it.
"He didn't listen to the people who told him that."
