Actress Jessica Chastain is proud of Jennifer Lawrence for speaking out about the gender 支払う／賃金 gap in Hollywood.
On the red carpet for the 首相 of Crimson 頂点（に達する） on Wednesday, Chastain said cinema was supposed to 反映する change in the real world.
"We're supposed to be a mirror that's held up to society and tells the story of what's happening around us," she said.
"And いつかs the American film 産業 only tells the stories of a few and I don't want my story to be erased.
"I want to see women out there and I want them to be 平等に 補償するd for the work that they do."
Lawrence's essay in Lena Dunham's 出版（物）, Lenny Letter, called out 不平等 without mincing words: "I'm over trying to find the adorable way to 明言する／公表する my opinion and still be likable! F*** that," she wrote.
"I'm proud of her," Chastain said.
"いつかs when you're doing 井戸／弁護士席, you're afraid to say something's wrong because then there's going to be a bunch of people out there going 承認する, 井戸／弁護士席, you're a big old movie 星／主役にする. But it doesn't 事柄."

Australian actress Mia Wasikowska also said she agreed with Lawrence and hopes her essay will lead to change.
