Alice Springs loses BBL cricket fixture

Alice Springs has been stripped of a BBL cricket match 予定 to be held there next week because of the poor 条件 of Traeger Park.

A match between the Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers scheduled for February 9 will now take place at the Adelaide Oval.

The 決定/判定勝ち(する) was Cricket Australia's.

It comes after the Adelaide Strikers women's BBL match against Perth three weeks ago was 転換d from Traeger Park to Albrecht Oval 予定 to the poor 外野 条件.

The Northern 領土 政府 said it was disappointing and that 責任/義務 to 持続する the oval to the 要求するd 基準 sat with the Alice Springs Town 会議.

"I 推定する/予想する that Cricket Australia and the Alice Springs Town 会議 will now 行為/行う a 十分な review of the 問題/発行するs that have 原因(となる)d the ground to 落ちる short of the 要求するd 基準," 観光旅行,事業 and culture 大臣 Lauren Moss said.

"We will also be working with the Adelaide Strikers and Cricket Australia to 確実にする that the 取り消し of the game comes at no cost to the NT taxpayers."

The NT 政府 paid $1.25 million to host mens and women's games in January 2018 and 2019.

Last year's matches went ahead.

多重の sections of the 外野 are sandy in 条件 and the loose 地盤 is regarded as a 危険 to players.

The Melbourne-West Coast AFL match is scheduled at Traeger Park on July 21.
