Tails wag at Guide Dog 卒業 儀式

Dozens of paws-itively delightful pups 卒業生(する)d as guide dogs in Melbourne.

The event 始める,決める tails wagging with 77 labrador pups making it as guide dogs at the 祝賀 in Hawthorn Town Hall on Saturday.

"It's a 本気で feel good day and it's a day to 反映する on the fantastic sense of adventure these dogs can bring to our (弁護士の)依頼人s," Guide Dogs Victoria 長,指導者 (n)役員/(a)執行力のある Karen Hayes said.

The animals would not only help people get around more easily in the community but could help expose them to new activities.

"One of our (弁護士の)依頼人s had never 取り組むd anything like long-distance bushwalking before but now he takes his guide dog with him and he never thought he could do that," Ms Hayes said.

More than 420 people 含むing puppy-raisers and 寄贈者s packed the hall to celebrate the successful dogs.

"They can come and see how they've 与える/捧げるd to somebody who is blind or low 見通し and this is an 適切な時期 to 実行する 旅行 from puppy to guide dog," she said.

Dogs are matched with their new humans based on a number of factors 含むing physical size, activity and personality, she said.

It costs up to $50,000 to train a 選び出す/独身 puppy and 基金s おもに (機の)カム through 寄付s.

But the organisation 勧めるd people who 手配中の,お尋ね者 to help to consider becoming carers with up to 35 needed ahead of Christmas.

Carers take care of a puppy for 12 months teaching them basic training 技術s and receive plenty of support from the organisation.
