Sleeping with the fishes on the 暗礁
A shoal of tiny, electric blue Chromis suddenly burst from the depths of the sea. There are hundreds of them and they're darting in all directions, 成し遂げるing a dance just for me.
This midnight fish disco is 存在 審査するd across four 巨大（な） glass windows as I 嘘（をつく） in bed, watching in awe.
I'm only in this country for a 簡潔な／要約する time and to my English 注目する，もくろむs, watching this みごたえのある show outside my room at one of the world's seven natural wonders makes me feel like a child on Christmas Eve.
I'm staying at Reefsuites, Australia's first underwater accommodation on the 広大な／多数の／重要な 障壁 暗礁.
Just a few hours earlier, our boat pulled up と一緒に the Reefworld pontoon on Hardy 暗礁, around 70km off the north Queensland coast. I couldn't wait to spend a little over a day immersing myself in the mesmerising sights on 申し込む／申し出.
Many tourists to Australia 選ぶ to visit the 暗礁 - to snorkel, scuba dive or take a 巡航する in a glass-底（に届く）d boat.
But what would it be like to spend the night out here? Four metres underwater, sleeping の中で the fish?
The idea of 存在 surrounded by water and unable to open a window sounds 公正に／かなり claustrophobic so I was pleasantly surprised to find the two rooms to be anything but - 手段ing 概略で 5.5 by 5 metres.
Each 含むs a spacious ensuite, also 完全にする with a glass 塀で囲む so that even during a にわか雨 you can 観察する the underwater sights.
負かす／撃墜する here under the ocean's surface, 高級な doesn't feel 妥協d. The 二塁打 bed is comfortable, there are white bathrobes を待つing me and there are lots of shelf space along the windows.
There is no wardrobe, but for a one-night stay during which I 計画（する） to spend most of my time in swimwear, that doesn't 提起する／ポーズをとる a problem.
A multitude of different fish types swim up to the window throughout the night, probably attracted to a small blue UV light outside the room, which the company 保証するs me has been developed to 確実にする the lowest possible 衝撃 on 海洋 life.
In the 早期に hours, around a dozen 巨大（な） trevally appear for a late-night 軽食 of baitfish.
As the sunlight begins to stream through the water すぐに after 5am, a whole new show begins, as yellow-tailed fusiliers and Dory-like surgeonfish appear to 迎える／歓迎する me.
Just when I think things can't get any more exciting, a 巨大（な） sea 海がめ meanders slowly across the window, its 静める demeanour an amusing contrast to my frantic 試みる／企てるs to quickly 得る，とらえる my phone to 逮捕（する） the moment.
I see another a few hours later during a morning snorkel safari, which is easily the 最高潮の場面 of the stay.
There is no 疑問 the 暗礁 直面するs 脅しs, not least from 気候 change. But our guide Anna 主張するs the part she's showing us is 公正に／かなり healthy - にもかかわらず my 初期の 関心s the cream colour of the 珊瑚 is the result of bleaching.
I worry too that my very presence is a 騒動 to the sea life, but she tells me 訪問者s are needed ーするために 伸び（る） a greater understanding of the 暗礁 and learn how to 保護する it for 未来 世代s.
"I think when I take people out here and they see how beautiful the 暗礁 is they want to look after it," she says. "They think 'I want my kids to see this'. I want to make wise 決定／判定勝ち（する）s around my use of plastic, for example.
"When you 落ちる in love with something, you want to look after it."
It's with a 幅の広い smile that I wave goodbye as the boat leaves the pontoon for land a few hours later. We leave that night's guests sunbathing on 巨大（な） bean 捕らえる、獲得するs, relaxing in the shade of the upper deck day beds, or taking another 下落する in the water.
As the sun 始める，決めるs, and with a complimentary ワイン in 手渡す, I know they'll be lapping up a unique and luxurious experience that the 欠如（する） of phone 歓迎会 軍隊s them to enjoy in its entirety.
On the pontoon the night before, we enjoyed a tasty 祝宴 of steak, fresh prawns and salads under fairy lights, with cheesecakes and melt-in-the-mouth brownies to follow.
Then while the 最高の，を越す deck guests settled in for a night under the 星／主役にするs in their glamping day beds, I retired downstairs to my underwater world of wonder.
It was the best sleepless night I'd ever had.
