早期に births cost Australia $1.4bn a year

A new 熟考する／考慮する by the Women and 幼児s 研究 創立／基礎 and the Australian Preterm Birth 予防 同盟 has put the 年次の cost of premature births at $1.4 billion.
A ４半期/4分の1 of the cost identified in the 熟考する／考慮する, published in the Australian and New Zealand 定期刊行物 of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, comes from the 教育の 援助 needed for children who were born premature.
While many preterm births are unplanned or 避けられない for 医療の 推論する／理由s, 専門家s are 関心d by a 劇の rise in avoidable "早期に-称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語" births.
They say it's translating to more school-老年の children having learning problems and behavioural 問題／発行するs.
"A good 割合 of them, their origin will be 設立する in the 労働 区s of your obstetric hospitals eight or 10 years earlier," the Perth-based 創立／基礎's 長，指導者 科学の director John Newnham told AAP.
While 極端に preterm babies have the greatest expense, it's the 早期に-称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語 births - those between 37 and 39 weeks - that have 増加するd the most.

The fetal brain, he says, puts on half of its 負わせる after 35 weeks, meaning any 配達／演説／出産 before 39 weeks 危険s 原因（となる）ing later-life problems.
"For most babies, they will have a normal 結果 regardless. We're talking about a 百分率 only," he says.
"But if you 配達する all babies at 37 rather than 39 weeks , eight years later a class of 30 children will have two extra children with behavioural disorders."
Around eight per cent of babies in Australia are born 未熟に each year.

A $13.7 million 基金ing 注射 in this year's 連邦の 予算 will help the 創立／基礎 to roll out the program across the country in coming years.
Prof Newnham, the 2020 上級の Australian of the Year, reckons it's a fantastic 適切な時期.
"It's a terrific challenge because there are not that many things left in 薬／医学 where a public health program based on education and health 昇進／宣伝 can have such 劇の 改良 in the lives of so many people," he said.
