Amateur 計画（する） 'broke up' during Qld flight
An amateur-built 航空機 "broke up" while 飛行機で行くing above the Queensland outback, 殺人，大当り the 操縦する and leaving 破片 strewn 1.5 kilometres across the ground, 初期の 調査s show.
The 計画（する）'s 単独の occupant had been taking part in a multi-day 飛行機で行くing 小旅行する with three other 航空機 before the 事故 90 kilometres south of 借り切る／憲章s Towers in April 2021.
The group was 出発／死ing Winton for Bowen in the 明言する／公表する's northeast on a trip that would likely 含む 重要な cloud, 減ずるd visibility and 逆の 天候 for the duration of the flight, 天候 記録，記録的な／記録するs show.
その結果, the three other 操縦するs elected to 飛行機で行く under the 器具 flight 支配するs, while the man in the amateur 航空機, who was 制限するd to operating in visual 気象の 条件s, 出発／死d under a visual flight 支配するs flight 計画（する）.
Flight data shows the 航空機 出発／死d just before 8am and 支えるd an "in-fight break-up" two hours later, with the 事故 場所／位置 位置を示すd almost 直接／まっすぐに below the last known レーダ point.
On 上陸 at Bowen, the other 操縦するs checked on the 計画（する）'s 進歩 using 跡をつけるing ソフトウェア and raised the alarm with search and 救助（する） 当局.
The 計画（する）'s engine and プロペラ detached from the main 航空機 structure in flight before hitting the ground at 速度(を上げる）, a 予選 報告（する）／憶測 from The Australian 輸送（する） Safety Bureau says.
It's 左翼 and 操縦室 were 位置を示すd a short distance from the engine.
The 計画（する）, a 先頭's 航空機 RV-7A, is 述べるd as an "all-metal, high 業績／成果, 実験の amateur-built 航空機".
It is 供給（する）d in a 道具 and was 問題／発行するd a special 証明書 of airworthiness in August 2020.
The most 最近の 入ること／参加（者） into its 維持／整備 スピードを出す／記録につけるs were about 13 days before the 事故 and show it had 蓄積するd just under 85 hours of time in service.
To date, the ATSB has collected 証拠 from the 事故 場所／位置, interviewed a number of parties and 診察するd retriev ed data from 航空機 構成要素s, レーダ and portable electronic 装置s.
"As the 調査 進歩s the ATSB will continue to analyse the 航空機 建設業者 スピードを出す／記録につける, 最近の flight and 操縦する training 記録，記録的な／記録するs, electronic flight data, 気象の 条件s, and the sequence of the in-flight break-up," ATSB director of 輸送（する） safety マイク Walker said.
