"It is dizzying," Eric Vanoncini 定評のある to the classroom 十分な of anxious teachers as reams of text 生成するd by the ChatGPT bot unfurled on the large 審査する behind him.

"It 危険s upending the world of education as we know it."

The high school English and philosophy teacher had gathered dozens of educators for one of several workshops あわてて organised in the スイスの canton of Geneva に引き続いて 緊急の 控訴,上告s for 指導/手引 on how to を取り引きする the new know-it-all bot.

The 解放(する) in November of ChatGPT, which uses 人工的な 知能 to convincingly mimic human 令状ing, has 誘発するd 関心s in schools 世界的な of a ぼんやり現れるing cheating 疫病/流行性の.

"It is worrying," Silvia Antonuccio, who teaches Italian and Spanish, told AFP after the workshop

"I don't feel at all 有能な to distinguish between a text written by a human and one written by ChatGPT."

The ソフトウェア by California company OpenAI has been trained on billions of words and tonnes of online data, enabling it to 令状 surprisingly human-like texts, 含むing passable school essays.

Stories abound about the bot receiving good grades in さまざまな disciplines, 含むing recently passing a US 法律 school exam.

- Like the 小旅行する de フラン -

Standing in the darkened, (人が)群がるd classroom, Vanoncini showed off the 道具, asking ChatGPT to 令状 his introduction... about ChatGPT.

The result, 現れるing on 審査する within seconds, was a succinct, 井戸/弁護士席-written text "with no (一定の)期間ing mistakes", he pointed out, 認めるing: "It is やめる astonishing."

Students have, of course, already realised its 可能性のある.

Vanoncini 解任するd how a 同僚 had been 鎮圧するd to realise that his usually mediocre class's sudden 英貨の/純銀の 業績/成果 on an assignment was probably not 負かす/撃墜する to his energetic pep-talk.

"But what can we do?" one of the …に出席するing teachers asked in exasperation.

Vanoncini 定評のある it was 複雑にするd, 解任するing suggestions that programmes 存在 churned out to (悪事,秘密などを)発見する the use of ChatGPT and other AI 道具s would solve the problem.

"Most 専門家s agree that no 道具 is 100 パーセント 効果的な."

"It's a bit like the 小旅行する de フラン," he said, pointing to how anti-麻薬ing 公式の/役人s develop 道具s for (悪事,秘密などを)発見するing 麻薬 use and cyclists 速く come up with ways to get 一連の会議、交渉/完成する them.

"It is a cat and mouse game."

- Collecting 'cow eggs' -

There are however ways for teachers to 位置/汚点/見つけ出す texts 生成するd by the bot, which is 傾向がある to making mistakes.

While it may produce texts with the feel of a thinking human, it is 現実に just a very powerful text 予測 道具, Vanoncini said.

"It is not created to 明言する/公表する what is true... but to 生成する what is probable."

As a result, you can ask ChatGPT a question based on a mistaken 仮定/引き受けること and receive a seemingly 論理(学)の, but 深く,強烈に 欠陥d 返答.

"I asked: 'How do you collect cow eggs?'" he said, to a chorus of laughter.

In 返答, the bot first advised him to put on gloves to 避ける getting bacteria on his 手渡すs and then gave tips on how to find a cow's nest, "typically made from hay or straw".

Karim Aboun, a high school accounting teacher, seemed 奮起させるd by that example.

To catch cheats, he 示唆するd, "you could maybe 供給する a plausible question that 含む/封じ込めるs an error and see if the students use this 道具 without realising the 前提 of the question is wrong".

- 'Not afraid' -

Another 関係者 一方/合間 pointed out that students from wealthier, more 井戸/弁護士席-educated families have always benefitted from homework polishing, 示唆するing ChatGPT could 簡単に be "levelling the playing field".

Vanoncini agreed it could 潜在的に be a way to "democratise" help with schoolwork.

But with OpenAI now considering 開始する,打ち上げるing a subscription 見解/翻訳/版 始める,決める to cost $42 a month, how long "will it really be that democratic?" he asked.

Vanoncini nonetheless 強調する/ストレスd there are 多重の 可能性のある 肯定的な 使用/適用s for the bot within education, 含むing using ChatGPT-生成するd texts as a basis for class discussion and 分析.

It could also 押し進める educators to re-評価する how and what they teach, with perhaps a larger 焦点(を合わせる) on 過程 over results.

"I am not afraid," electronics teacher Christian Stamm told AFP, 説 he saw ChatGPT as a "道具 to take us to the next level".

"Today everyone uses a calculator and we continue doing maths at school."
