ローマ法王 Francis 示すd 10 years as 長，率いる of the カトリック教徒 Church on Monday with a podcast, a 私的な 集まり and a 一連の interviews, one of which 誘発する／引き起こすd a 外交の spat with Nicaragua.
"It seems like yesterday," the 86-year-old 解任するd of his 選挙 during a podcast for the 公式の／役人 Vatican News 出口 -- after first having to be told what a podcast was.
Asked what he would like as a gift for his 10-year 周年記念日, for which he had no public 計画（する）s beyond a 集まり with 枢機けい／主要なs, Francis 追加するd: "Peace. We need peace."
Jorge Bergoglio was elected ローマ法王 on March 13, 2013, after his 前任者 Benedict XVI stunned the world by becoming the first ローマ法王 to 辞職する since the Middle Ages.

"He is a ローマ法王 for this time," said Italian priest Father Roberto, who travelled to Saint Peter's Square to hear the ローマ法王 配達する his 週刊誌 Angelus 祈り on Sunday.
"He managed to しっかり掴む today's needs and to 提案する them to the whole 全世界の／万国共通の Church... And now he's giving the Church a 押し進める 今後 for the years to come. He is （種を）蒔くing good for the 未来."
However, not everyone is enamoured of Francis' approach, 顕著に the 保守的な wing of the カトリック教徒 Church. One critic, German 枢機けい／主要な Gerhard Mueller, recently criticised the ローマ法王's "doctrinal 混乱".
Francis has never shied away from 論争, 定期的に using his pulpit to rail against everything from the mafia to consumerism and the 武器 産業.
In one of his 周年記念日 interviews, with Argentine news 出口 Infobae, he 述べるd the 政府 of Nicaraguan 大統領 Daniel Ortega as a "天然のまま 独裁政治".
Ortega's 政府 -- which has long had 緊張s with the カトリック教徒 Church -- 答える／応じるd on Sunday by 説 it was considering 一時停止するing 外交の 関係 with the Vatican.
In another interview, with スイスの 放送者 RTS last week, the ローマ法王 公然と非難するd the 関与 of all the "広大な／多数の／重要な 力／強力にするs" in the ウクライナ共和国 war.
He prays 定期的に for the 犠牲者s of the war, although he has been criticised for failing to squarely put the 非難する on Russia as the 攻撃者.
- 'It's not 平易な' -
ローマ法王 Francis has sought to 改善する 関係 with Islam during his papacy, and Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, the grand imam of Cairo's prestigious Al-Azhar イスラム教寺院, was one of those who sent their congratulations on his 10-year milestone.
In a letter published by Vatican News, al-Tayeb あられ／賞賛するd the ローマ法王's 成果／努力s to "build 橋（渡しをする）s of love and fraternity の中で all human 存在s".
Messages of congratulations also （機の）カム in from Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the leader of the world's 正統派の Christians, and Anglican leader Justin Welby, the 大司教 of Canterbury.

Welby joined Francis on a 最近の peace 使節団 to 衝突-ridden South Sudan, where 抱擁する （人が）群がるs flocked to see the pontiff, as they do everywhere he goes.

Francis was hospitalised in 2021 for 結腸 外科 and now uses a 車椅子 予定 to 膝 trouble -- something he 認める in one interview he was "a li ttle ashamed" about.

Asked by Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano what his hopes for the 未来 were, he replied: "That the Lord be 慈悲の with me. 存在 the ローマ法王 is not an 平易な 職業."
