"The end of エイズ" is still possible by 2030, the 国際連合 主張するd Thursday, but 警告を与えるd that the world's deadliest pandemic could only be 停止(させる)d if leaders しっかり掴むd the 適切な時期.

"エイズ can be ended" as a public health 脅し, the UNAIDS 機関 said, as it 輪郭(を描く)d a roadmap of 投資, 証拠-based 予防 and 治療, 権力を与えるing civil society and 取り組むing the 不平等s 持つ/拘留するing 支援する 進歩.

UNAIDS said ending the pandemic was, above all, a political and 財政上の choice.

"We are not yet on the path that ends エイズ," the 機関's (n)役員/(a)執行力のある director Winnie Byanyima said, but "we can choose to get on that path".

The UN first 始める,決める out in 2015 the 的 of ending エイズ as a public health 脅し by 2030.

Byanyima said the greatest 進歩 on HIV -- the ウイルス that 原因(となる)s エイズ -- was 存在 ma de in the countries and 地域s that have 投資するd 堅固に.

She 特記する/引用するd eastern and southern Africa, where new HIV 感染s have dropped by 57 パーセント since 2010.

Botswana, Eswatini, Rwanda, Tanzania and Zimbabwe have already 達成するd what are called the 95-95-95 的s.

This means that 95 パーセント of those living with HIV know their status; 95 パーセント of those who know they have HIV are on life-saving anti-retroviral 治療; and 95 パーセント of people on 治療 to 達成する viral 鎮圧 -- and therefore 高度に ありそうもない to 感染させる others.

UNAIDS said that in 2022, 39 million people globally were living with HIV, of whom 29.8 million were 接近ing anti-retroviral therapy. Those 行方不明の out 含む 660,000 children.

The numbers on anti-retroviral 治療 have 近づく-quadrupled from 7.7 million in 2010.

その上に, 82 パーセント of 妊娠している and breastfeeding women living with HIV had 接近 to anti-retroviral 治療 in 2022, compared to 46 パーセント in 2010 -- which has led to a 58 パーセント 減少(する) in new 感染s in children.

"The end of エイズ is an 適切な時期" for today's leaders to be remembered as "those who put a stop to the world's deadliest pandemic", said Byanyima.

"We are 希望に満ちた, but it is not the relaxed 楽観主義 that might come if all was 長,率いるing as it should be. It is, instead, a hope rooted in seeing the 適切な時期."

基金ing for HIV fell 支援する in 2022 to $20.8 billion -- around the same level as in 2013, and 井戸/弁護士席 short of the $29.3 billion needed by 2025.

法律s that criminalise people from 重要な 全住民s, or their behaviours, remain in place in many nations, UNAIDS said, giving the example that criminalisation, and stigmatisation, of 麻薬 injectors 妨げるs them from coming 今後 for 治療.

HIV continues to 衝撃 重要な 全住民s more than the general 全住民, it 追加するd.
