Flood 強化するs Libya's 国家の fabric, volunteers say
The 見習い工 dressmakers in Tripoli put their training on 持つ／拘留する to help 苦しめるd 生存者s of the flash flood in Libya's east
About a dozen women hunch over sewing machines in Libya's 資本／首都, 緊急に making 着せる／賦与するs for the living, and shrouds for the dead, two weeks after a 抱擁する flood 荒廃させるd the eastern city of Derna.
In the war-乱打するd north African country that has long been divided between two 競争相手 政府s, the 悲劇 that killed thousands has 誘発するd a 全国的な sense of 団結.
"Our centre was already helping 貧困の families, so you can imagine our mobilisation when it 伴う／関わるs a 災害 of this magnitude," said Mohamed Kamour, the director of the centre that trains women to become dressmakers.

Since the flood struck on September 10, the 見習い工s have worked at 十分な 速度(を上げる）, cutting and sewing fabric for the 貧困の in Derna, a city more than 1,300 kilometres (800 miles) to the east.
All normal courses have been 一時停止するd for the 援助（する） 成果／努力, said Kamour, whose workshop usually helps 未亡人s and 離婚d women 伸び（る） 財政上の independence.
"That is the 優先," he said. "We interrupted all types of training."
The workshop has already sent 1,300 school uniforms, 850 abayas and 650 shrouds to cover 死体s to Derna, and a second 出荷／船積み is 存在 用意が出来ている.

Derna had a 全住民 of about 100,000 before the flash flood broke through two ageing dams after a ハリケーン-strength 嵐／襲撃する 攻撃するd the area.
The 公式の／役人 death （死傷者）数 passed 3,800 on Saturday.
The flood, which 証言，証人／目撃するs に例えるd to a 津波, may have left 10,000 or more people 行方不明の, international 援助（する） groups said.
Many were swept out to sea, from where 団体／死体s are still washing 岸に. Others are thought to be buried beneath the mud and 破片 that carpets entire neighbourhoods of Derna.

Karima Wanis, 39, the centre's trainer, said she feels as if she lost members of her own family.
While sewing machines hummed in the background, she said that it is "normal to come to the 援助（する） of our Derna brothers".
"We are part of the same family" Wanis said. "West or East. 最終的に, it's Libya that 部隊s us."

Qatar's 大使館 in Libya 発表するd the arrival on Saturday in Benghazi of two 計画（する）s carrying 60 tonnes of 援助. That brings to eight the number of 出荷／船積みs sent by the 湾 首長国.
On Thursday a 計画（する） bringing 援助（する） from the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs also landed in Benghazi, the eastern city about 300 kilometres by road from Derna.
