'Endless': one Venezuelan's arduous 長期冒険旅行 to the US

At 32, Venezuelan 勝利者 Manuel Atencio had finally had it: The 危機 roiling his country, he felt, had 廃虚d all his hopes for the 未来.
So he made the difficult 決定／判定勝ち（する） to emigrate to the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs -- a grueling 長期冒険旅行 that ended up taking two months and covering some 3,000 miles (4,800 キロメーターs) 示すd both by calamity and 親切.
"It seemed endless, very exhausting," he told AFP, choking with emotion, after finally crossing from Mexico to the Texas 国境 town of Eagle Pass, where he first 始める，決める foot on American 国／地域.

"I had thought that the hardest part would be the ジャングル," said Atencio, referring to the dangerous and debilitating 引き上げ（る） through the Darien ジャングル between Colombia and パナマ.
"But then I realized that the 都市の ジャングル was far worse," with attacks and 強盗s commonplace along the way.
"Animals behave better than men," he 追加するd.
Now, however, after fording the Rio Grande, with its capricious 現在のs, he was in the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs.
Atencio began his 旅行 on July 30, along with 31 countrymen from western Venezuela. Like him, they had become fed up with the 政府 of Nicolas Maduro, whose 支配する has been 示すd by political 騒動 and 経済的な 崩壊（する）.

During the exhausting trek through the Darien ジャングル, where a stream of migrants 直面する both natural dangers and attacks by vicious 犯罪の ギャング（団）s, Atencio had 徐々に cast aside the few 所持品 he started the trip with, keeping only the barest of necessities: his 身元 papers and a cellphone with earbuds.
"It's sad seeing the 形態／調整 some people are in on this 追跡する," he said, 述べるing the 残虐な 条件s migrants 直面する.
Things were 特に 緊張した for him when he passed through Nicaragua and Guatemala, where he said he was 繰り返して robbed.

Some people "gave us food or 着せる／賦与するs, and that's how we were able to 生き残る," he said, flashing a rare smile.
Once he was finally standing on American 国／地域, Atencio embraced a travel companion.
"We made it," he said.
Atencio's 目的（とする） is to join cousins in Dallas -- and to (1)偽造する／(2)徐々に進む a life that will "供給する hope" to family members still in Venezuela.
