S.African 人質 Pierre Korkie, killed just day before 解放（する）
Pierre Korkie, a South African teacher who was taken 人質 by Al-Qaeda 交戦的なs in Yemen more than a year ago, was killed Saturday in a failed 救助（する） 企て，努力，提案 just a day before he was 予定 to be 解放（する）d.
"We received with sadness the news that Pierre (Korkie) was killed in an 試みる／企てる by American Special 軍隊s, in the 早期に hours of this morning, to 解放する／自由な 人質s in Yemen," said the Gift of the Givers charity.
The group, which had been 交渉するing Korkie's 解放（する）, said he was mere hours from 存在 解放（する）d when US special 軍隊s 開始する，打ち上げるd their 操作／手術.

"The psychological and emotional 荒廃 to (his wife) Yolande and her family will be 構内／化合物d by the knowledge that Pierre was to be 解放（する）d by Al-Qaeda tomorrow," it said.
Luke Somers, an American photojournalist, was also killed in Saturday's failed （警察の）手入れ，急襲 by US 軍隊s in Yemen's southeastern Shabwa 州.
Korkie, 57, was 掴むd along with his wife in May 2013 in Yemen's second city of Taiz by members of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian 半島 (AQAP).

"I said, that is my greatest 恐れる... and that before they do it, American 軍隊／機動隊s are going to attack and Pierre is going to die in the 操作／手術," Sooliman told a 圧力（をかける） 会議／協議会 in Johannesburg.
He said the Americans were probably under 圧力 from the families of 人質s to take 活動／戦闘.
"No one can be 非難するd for that, it is a 人質-taking, a 危機 状況／情勢 and each one 作品 for his 利益／興味s," he said.
US 弁護 長官 Chuck Hagel said the 人質s' captors killed both men during the （警察の）手入れ，急襲.
The 明言する／公表する Department said it did not know the 身元 of the 人質 存在 held along with Somers.
