A naturalized US 国民 was 刑務所，拘置所d Wednesday for five years for 試みる／企てるing to help Venezuela build a 核の 武器 by passing on secret （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）, the US 司法（官） Department said.
Scientist Pedro Leonardo Mascheroni, 79, and his wife Marjorie Roxby Mascheroni, 71, had pleaded 有罪の after they were caught trying to pass on 分類するd （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） to an 連邦検察局 スパイ／執行官 提起する／ポーズをとるing as a Venezuelan 政府 公式の／役人.

"We 簡単に cannot 許す people to 侵害する／違反する their 誓約（する） to 保護する the 分類するd 核の 武器s data with which they are ゆだねるd.
"Today's 宣告，判決ing should leave no 疑問 that counterespionage 調査s remain one of our most powerful 道具s to 保護する our 国家の 安全."
His wife, who worked there 1981-2010, was 刑務所，拘置所d in August for a year.
