Anti-Islamist general sworn in as Libya army 長，指導者
Anti-Islamist General Khalifa Haftar was sworn in Monday as the new army 長，指導者 in 衝突-ridden Libya, a week after his 指名／任命 by the elected 議会, a 広報担当者 for the 立法機関 said.
"Khalifa Belgacem Haftar, the 指揮官-in-長，指導者 of the 武装した 軍隊s, took the 誓い before the 議会," 広報担当者 Faraj Abu Hachem told AFP.
Haftar, 72, was also 促進するd from the 階級 of 中尉／大尉／警部補 general to general, Abu Hachem 追加するd, the highest 階級 現在／一般に for any officer in Libya.

Last May, Haftar 開始する，打ち上げるd an 不快な／攻撃 against Islamists in the country's east, 焦点（を合わせる）d on the second city of Benghazi, 誘発するing the then-政府 to 告発する／非難する him of trying to 行う／開催する／段階 a クーデター.

But Haftar's 支持者s see in the white-haired general a "saviour" 決定するd to rid Libya of Islamists whose 影響（力） has grown since the 2011 反乱 that 倒れるd and killed strongman Moamer Kadhafi.
Army 広報担当者 陸軍大佐 Ahmed al-Mesmari told AFP "Haftar 受託するd the position under 圧力 from the street."
Haftar served under Kadhafi and took part in the 1969 軍の クーデター that 倒れるd the 君主国 and brought the former 独裁者 to 力／強力にする.
But he fell from grace with Kadhafi after he 命令（する）d a 部隊 during Libya's fruitless war with Chad in 1978-1987.

He returned home in March 2011 weeks after the 反乱 started to join the 反乱 against Kadhafi.
