Final curtain for last outpost of Hong Kong 抗議する (軍の)野営地,陣営s

With days to go before 国会議員s 投票(する) on a 議論の的になる political 改革(する) 一括 that has 分裂(する) Hong Kong, プロの/賛成の-僕主主義 抗議する人s who have (軍の)野営地,陣営d out at the 立法機関 for months are 準備するing to go home.

Around 150 テントs, 完全にする with flower マリファナs and large colourful 旗,新聞一面トップの大見出し/大々的に報道するs calling for 僕主主義, form a final outpost of the sprawling テント city which 封鎖するd a 主要道路 through the central 商売/仕事 地区 until it was (疑いを)晴らすd at the end of last year.

The 抱擁する (軍の)野営地,陣営 was part of a 集まり 抗議する against the Hong Kong 政府's 選挙 計画(する) on how to choose the city's next leader in 2017.

The propos al sticks to a 判決,裁定 by Beijing that 候補者s must be vetted by a 現体制支持者/忠臣 委員会, derided as "偽の 僕主主義" by 選挙運動者s.

The 法案 will go for 審議 at the 立法機関 on Wednesday before a 投票(する) in which プロの/賛成の-僕主主義 国会議員s are 推定する/予想するd to 封鎖する the 計画(する).

Seventy-year-old Uncle Wong, a fixture at the (軍の)野営地,陣営, dubbed the Tim Mei New Village, said he gave up a 平和的な 退職 to fight for true 全世界の/万国共通の 選挙権/賛成.

"If you don't give me freedom, if you don't give me a society where everybody has equal 権利s, I'd rather die," said Wong, who has stayed at the 場所/位置 for more than 200 days.

Wong said he would stay until the political 改革(する) 一括 was 投票(する)d out and was moved by student 抗議する人s during the 占領する movement.

"Even when it was 風の強い or 雨の, the students were still there singing songs. How could I leave? The 未来 is theirs, we who have a 良心 must come out."

- 'People have not forgotten' -

Anthony Kwok, 50, who has been at the (軍の)野営地,陣営 since September, also said he planned to go home after the 改革(する) 一括 was 投票(する)d out.

"If it doesn't go through, then everything will go 支援する to normal, that's better than the 状況/情勢 権利 now," Kwok said, 追加するing that the Chinese 当局 had tried to 軍隊 through the 改革(する)s.

"If you really want Hong Kong or the country to 改善する, there needs to be communication (between the 当局 and the people)," Kwok said.

Police have 繰り返して 警告するd that the (軍の)野営地,陣営 is 違法な and that it would be 除去するd "at an appropriate time" but are yet to take 活動/戦闘.

To Tiffany Chan , a 25-year-old student university student, the village serves as a 思い出の品 that the 問題/発行する of 全世界の/万国共通の 選挙権/賛成 will not go away.

"The meaning of this village is to remind everybody that this 問題/発行する of 全世界の/万国共通の 選挙権/賛成 is still here, people have not forgotten about it," Chan told AFP after watching police search her テント as they scoured the (軍の)野営地,陣営 for "dangerous 反対するs" Saturday ahead of a 一連の 決起大会/結集させるs at the 立法機関.

Chan said she decided to join the (軍の)野営地,陣営 in February as a 調印する of 抗議する against 所有物/資産/財産 大君s -- seen to be too cosy with the 政府 -- as 住宅 costs 急に上がる.

Chan 追加するd she felt true 全世界の/万国共通の 選挙権/賛成 would solve the problem.
