Nigerians 抗議する eviction in 運動 to （疑いを）晴らす shanties
Thousands of 居住（者）s of a Lagos waterfront community marched on the 地元の 知事's office Tuesday to 抗議する the demolition of their homes, part of a growing 運動 to （疑いを）晴らす out shanties around Nigeria's 商業の 中心.
At least three people died last week in the fishing community of Otodo Gbame, after police moved in with no notice, setting 解雇する／砲火／射撃 and chasing some people into the Lagos lagoon, によれば 居住（者）s.

"We 非難する the 軍隊d evictions of over 30,000 hard-working, 法律-がまんするing 国民s from Otodo Gbame and thousands more from Ebute-Ikate on 9-11 November 2016," they said in a letter.
"We in particular 非難する the use of 解雇する／砲火／射撃, demolition in the middle of the night and the 悲劇の loss of lives of persons who 溺死するd when chased by police into the Lagos lagoon."
The 政府 警告するd last month it would （疑いを）晴らす shanties from the sprawling city of 20 million people because of 安全 関心s.
Such 操作／手術s have occurred in the past, but have 加速するd since the new 知事 arrived last year, and very 定期的に since the new 警告.
The 政府 believes kidnappers hid in shanties to 誘拐する school children. Several school children have been kidnapped around the city's riverine communities in 最近の weeks.
国際アムネスティ 勧めるd the 政府 to 停止（させる） the demolitions, 恐れるing thousands might be made homeless, but the 政府 still went ahead with the 演習 at Otodo Gbame.
The 居住（者）s, carrying 掲示s and 詠唱するing 抗議する songs, （刑事）被告 the 政府 of using the police and 不良，よた者s to destroy their homes without any 事前の notice.
接触するd by AFP, the Lagos 明言する／公表する 当局 have 辞退するd to give any comment so far.

Megan Chapman of the 司法（官） and Empowerment 率先s (JEI) ロビー group, which helped organise the 決起大会／結集させる told AFP that three 死体s were 回復する d from the lagoon after the demolition, while 11 people were still 行方不明の.
"The 11 行方不明の people are 推定するd to be dead. We want 政府 to 停止（させる） the demolitions which have （判決などを）下すd thousands homeless," she said.
"Since November 11, evictees are 直面するing a 墓／厳粛／彫る／重大な 人道的な 災害 without 避難所, 接近 to clean water, food and other basic needs," said Sani Mohammed of the Nigerian Slum/Informal 解決／入植地 連合.
"We are here to 控訴，上告 to 知事 Ambode to 供給する 救済s to those 影響する／感情d by the demolition and to 補償する them for the loss of their homes," he said.
The 抗議する人s became unruly and angry when the 知事 failed to come out to 演説（する）／住所 them.

"Otodo is my ancestral home. My parents lived there for years before they died. I don't know where else to go," said Celestine Ahisu, a self-雇うd engineer and father of three children.
Beatrice Keyimon, 25-year-old fish 販売人 told AFP she has been sleeping inside her canoe with her three children since she lost her home.
"We could not 海難救助 anything. The area boys （機の）カム like a どろぼう in the night and 始める，決める everywhere 含むing our house 燃えて," she lamented.
