'Pee Park'? 中国 tries to 訂正する bad translations
中国 has 行うd さまざまな （選挙などの）運動をするs in 最近の years to root out poor grammar and misused English vocabulary and this week took special 目的（とする） at "eradicating poor translations that 損失 the country's image", the 明言する／公表する newspaper People's Daily said
Public 調印するs such as "Pee Park" and "deformed man 洗面所" may finally be a thing of the past as Chinese 当局 割れ目 負かす／撃墜する on poor translations known as "Chinglish".

The new 基準 will go into 影響 on December 1 and 目的（とする）s to wipe out Chinglish once and for all on public 調印するs.
"English translations should prioritise 訂正する grammar and a proper regi ster, while rare 表現s and vocabulary words should be 避けるd," the newspaper said, 追加するing that English should "not be overused in public 部門s".
It also 警告するd against direct translations, which have thrown up examples in the past such as "人種差別主義者 Park" for the 中国 民族の Culture Park in Beijing.
"Pee Park" in Beijing should have read "料金" and was for a 支払う／賃金 parking 位置／汚点／見つけ出す, while others were more 不快な／攻撃 -- the "deformed" 洗面所 was for 無能にするd people.
There was also the 調印する at an 入り口 to a shopping 商店街 in Beijing that helpfully recommended: "To take notice of 安全な the slippery are very crafty."
The stamp-負かす／撃墜する on Chinglish will disappoint English-speaking 訪問者s to 中国 who have long delighted in 調印するs such as one at the 広大な／多数の／重要な 塀で囲む that reminded people to be careful: "Do not forget the 解雇する／砲火／射撃 is heartless."
It is not the first time 当局 in 中国 have 試みる／企てるd to rid the country of Chinglish.
Beijing 公式の／役人s ordered an 緊急の clean-up of English-language 調印するs as the Chinese 資本／首都 用意が出来ている for the 2008 オリンピック.
