Pimped-up pedicabs a tourist 攻撃する，衝突する in historic Malaysian city

Decked out with flashing lights and 風刺漫画 characters, with loud music pumping, rickety bicycle rickshaws have become a 攻撃する，衝突する with tourists visiting the historic Malaysian city of Malacca.
Once a ありふれた sight in many parts of Malaysia, the three-wheelers, known 地元で as trishaws, were 大部分は 段階d out as cars became more affordable and took over the country's roads.
But in Malacca, a former 植民地の 解決／入植地 that is a UNESCO World 遺産 場所／位置 and one of Malaysia's 最高の，を越す tourist draws, the pedal-力／強力にするd 乗り物s live on.
They have adapted to the modern 時代 in a 企て，努力，提案 to 控訴，上告 to tourists, 追加するing 人物／姿／数字s of 風刺漫画 characters such as Hello Kitty and Pokemon's Pikachu and blinking fairy lights that are turned on at night.
Their sound systems blare out an eclectic mix of music, from techno to Bollywood 攻撃する，衝突するs and Chinese ballads.
"Malacca's trishaws are unique for their decorations -- other trishaws, they don't come の近くに," said driver Mohamad I sa Mursidi, whose three-wheeled steed was decorated with Hello Kitty dolls and a bouquet of plastic flowers in a heart-形態／調整d でっちあげる，人を罪に陥れる.

A 30-minute ride on a selected 大勝する around some of the city's historic buildings costs around 25 ringgit (US$6).
The noisy, garish trishaws may not be to the taste of everyone visiting the 古代の city.
But for many 長，率いるing to Malacca, a trip in one of the colourful rickshaws is all part of the experience.
"It gives a romantic feeling to the heart at night," said 地元の tourist Ganapathy Kuppusamy.
Malacca, on peninsular Malaysia's 南西 cost, has a history dating 支援する to around the 15th century. With a 戦略の 場所 on the 海峡s of Malacca, it became a 豊富な entrepot and attracted 仲買人s from around the world.
It was colonise d first by the Portuguese, later by the Dutch and finally by the British in the 19th century, when it became part of the 海峡s 解決／入植地s with Penang, in modern-day Malaysia, and Singapore.
